I thought you might like that. Well if it offends them than maybe your avatar is right:eek: Okay I gotta run now.

Brian,
Do you have one or both of the two lights you posted about from goinggear and if so which one or ones?

I have the Fenix TK40. I really like it.

I don't think you can really go wrong with either one though. I just like that I can use it camping and then just recharge the AA batteries. It also allows me to standardize on one battery for my outdoor gear (GPS, 2 way radios, wife's lantern,etc.).

i got a silly question for all you xprts out there. how much do the batteries matter? are all AA's the same to some extent? im not talking about using dollar store batts, but is the fancy stuff really better than plain old duracell?

thats a lot of???

Are Energizer flashlights high-fallutin' enough for this thread?

What is the difference between, ''torch'' lumens and ,''led'' lumens ?

Torch lumens is what really comes out the front and LED lumens is if you could catch every bit of light the LED produces. Torch lumens can be as much as a third lower than LED lumens in the same light. You have loss at the reflector, lens, bezel, etc. My titanium Quark, for example, has 300 LED lumens and 230 torch lumens.
