Night fellers. I just hit 23K and think I may take a few months off.
I have another undercover mission with the Federales.
Then, GregS is going to teach me how to do yoga and appreciate boxed wine.

is it normal to load your cart at Battery junction, and four sevens.. and then hit the keep shopping button,,,,,,,,,,, then find something you wanted more than what u had,, get frustrated and say i will just look again tomorrow..........

Torch lumens is what really comes out the front and LED lumens is if you could catch every bit of light the LED produces. Torch lumens can be as much as a third lower than LED lumens in the same light. You have loss at the reflector, lens, bezel, etc. My titanium Quark, for example, has 300 LED lumens and 230 torch lumens.

.What, !? Is that one of those little tiny lights, one battery, 230 lumens?

So if a surefire, my only point of reference, puts out a published 200 lumens are they talking torch or led lumens?

I'm 99% sure that Surefire uses torch lumens. They used to underrate their lights too. My e2d when stock was manufacturer spec 60 lumens but was ALMOST as bright as my fenix p3d on high at 120 led lumens.

It's the Titanium Quark in this picture (2 CR123A batteries). The single CR123A version is around 20-30 lumens lower.

Surefire and Quark are very conservative with their output numbers. People on CPF have tested the E2DL (I think that is the light your talking about) at 200 lumens.

I am getting my dad a Fenix Tk40. He is going on a Deer hunting trip in Mexico next month,, he will need a good light,, where cr123's might not be common,,
