OP, if you want a shout when those Malkoff drop-ins restock, let me know.

150 or so extra lumens for $55 sounds pretty good to me.

Damn right it's good - I bought the second one about 6 minutes after I tried the first one I received

You're oldie will go quickly if you drop it - not so with the Malkoff, just wanted to mention that tidbit of data

Any idea how often he restocks?

And yes, I've already replace the bulb assembly once because of some shock.

If you do not have a bright light the Quarks are nice, but if you have a 6P the Malkoff drop in makes them an incredible force.

I could not bust someones head with a Quark repeatedly and still expect to see the light - I would expect the housing to fail before the bulb - but maybe not. The Surefire is a friggin tank of a housing - ie bullet proof

I slammed mine full force into a solid metal roof and both the SF and Malkoff still functioned flawlessly, albeit the bezel on my SF is no longer symmetrical

I got my Malkoff drop in on Friday for my 6P. 60 lumens to 235 in about 10 seconds!

This thing is awesome!

Great throw and plenty of peripheral light. It's hard to believe that so much more light comes out of this thing! Definately major bang for the buck.

I hope Brian gets some kind of discount from Malkoff, as he has sold quite a few for them just on this forum - Thanks again BCBT for the advice

I sometimes feel like I'm running a debit balance on advice given, so this is a payment on my account. This forum amazes me. Where else can you ask advice about knives, ARs, Ford transmissions, fishing, scotch, .500 S&Ws, black gloves, satinizing, dogs, etc.....

The best knives and the best people.

Guess I should have been following this thread all along. I searched the thread for "Malkoff" and found out I was just way late to the Malkoff party.

Just got my M2 body back. Had it bored out to take an 18650 rechargeable. Running a Malkoff M60 in it, hopefully has a longer runtime now. :D

I posted over in cpf yesterday. Found out that other folks carry the M60 drop-in, and it's in stock at several of them.
