BTW, not that I think anyone here is crazy enough to order one, but if you do, remember that Wiseled.com offers a 30% discount on their site. That brings the shipped price down right close to that of a surefire M6.

That is the best I can get right now. When you look at it against a wall it looks very uniform and round. There is a slight pattern around the edges but I was having a hard time getting it to show. The cool thing about the pattern is that it is a repeating pattern that is the same all the way around.

I will play around and see if I can show it.

Anyhow, if you use the light for anything but pointing it at a white wall it seems like a "wall of uniform light"

BTW, in the third pic that is a ceiling fan towards the right, not part of the beam.

WOW!
Nice job on the photo representation and solid pattern on the light.
Very cool.

.
The only one I can find is the 2000lumen for 8hun,but I'm challenged.

..Man I am getting into some serious truoble here.

Like bear, I am going to have to ''put another log on the fire"...or two!

What is your experience with run time on this one?

If you are seriously thinking about ordering one I can tell you a lot more about it to help you decide. I have a 2000 on the way.

I like lights, but like I said my most used is a 2 cell surefire. The tigerlights come second. The Wiseled last. I keep the Wiseled charged for when I really need a light that bright. When I do need it I am glad I have it.

Okay, so runtime I do not remember exact numbers and I never really timed it. It is a high runtime though. I would say the manufacturer's numbers are probably right on. I have never felt like it had a short runtime but usually a very long time even on "turbo". Not sure how this applies to the 2000 though.

Other factors of this light that limit its use to me are the fact that the battery will drain itself down without use. Not sure if the 2000 has changed this but it is something to look into. With the 1500 if you charge it fully and leave it sit for a month or so and come back it will be dead. Not such a problem because it comes with both house and car chargers and is safe to leave charging at all times. BUT, you can't just toss it in your truck and forget about it until you need it and they don't recommend charging it in your car on "short trips".

I have not had a problem with it "powering down" while in "turbo" mode like some reviews have stated. So that is not something I would worry about.

On the good side it is a BRIGHT light with adjustable brightness, SOS mode and Strobe functions. Tailcap attachements that are nice. Solid light that can be submersed.

If I think of anything else I will let you know. That is all I can generalize for now.

Maybe wait until I get a good night to take some comparison shot outside before you get serious about it???

Was it you?! Get me outat here!

Lumens are the new currency and Mandarin is the new language....seemingly.

richstag,
Great info,I didn't think about battery rundown, not that it is a deal breaker.
Thanks for all the updates.
I'm gonna work on the smoke.

I can't wait to see that! Yeah, and the battery rundown is not a normal rundown. It has something to do with the "memory" for saving the last brightness level or something like that. Say I leave my tigerlight sit for a couple months, it is fine. Wiseled, DEAD.

Look at CPF for much better technical info. I am just giving experience.

That's why I asked. In my mind, real world experience usually skews the ''data''.

you were right B. check out mommas rig! she suggested a bayonet for the knife phags:thumbup:

LOL, even your dog has a WTF look on his face.:D

I started my flashlight collection 10 years ago with a 6 D cell Maglite.:o

Congratulations on your anniversary.:thumbup::thumbup: If she puts up with this sh%t, she must love you.

I don't use them yet. RCR123 are tricky, if you use protected ones the explosion/fire risk is dramatically reduced, but they are slightly longer than regular RCR123s so they don't fit it all lights. Protected batteries also don't work well in all lights because, by being protected, they can't be overcharged or over discharged, which can greatly effect the battery life (the over discharged part). RCRs also come in 2 voltages, some lights work with both batteries, some don't. See what I mean about tricky.

I like to EDC a 1 or 2 AA (rechargeable) powered flashlight and a CR123 powered tactical light. 95% of the time the AA gets the job done, and it uses the same batteries as my 2 way radios, GPS, etc. The CR123 is used only as needed, not as a general task light (keeps the battery use down).

I you decide to use RCRs, call your light's manufacturer to see if recommend them in your light and which ones they recommend.

Thanks mang. Thats actually a good idea, using a AA light. I've been carrying a stock E2E around, I know its kinda weird. I like the size of it though. Its been going thru batteries like crazy. Hence the question on rechargeable's. Gonna start carrying a AA light also. :)

Large, with a dawg like that, Momma dunneed to worry about Lumens :D

She shines regardless!
