Well it slightly exceeds the "less than 3 inch" length my town requires.

For hundreds of miles outside of my town is desert wasteland, so unless we fall into a Mad Max scenario, I doubt I will have anything more than a bit of yardwork to test this guy. (three branches so far, it cut, they fell ;) ).

The blade has an almost machete-style appearance to it, immediately conjuring up thoughts of hacking through dense undergrowth (sadly not too much of that around Gloucestershire :) )

I have to pick one of those up. I just wish the logo on the blade wasn't so huge! The logo is total overkill IMO. Everything else looks great.
 
I tested that and concluded the logo did not appreciably interfere with the knife's ability to cut and chop. :)

A few have commented that the knife looks huge, and I guess by Spyderco standards it is, but I think you'd be surprised by its easy handling for such a large chopper. In any case there are three smaller sizes that some may prefer. Has anyone here received one of the other sizes or are only the collector editions being shipped now?
 
Jerry, we have only recieved the numbered Foresters at this time. Have not even been invoiced for the smaller versions. BTW nice colaboration. My compliments.

Zen, can you refresh my memory? Is the forester 7" or 9"? Hard to tell on the pics. Shwweeet piece by the way :).
 
Just made an order for the Woodlander (from wildeals). Since it was my original plan to buy the woodlander, but just could'nt resist myself on this. I like the balance and feel of this large knife I thought at first it was head heavy due to the shape of the blade, yet I find well balanced. Now I cant wait for the woodlander! =0)
 
Mr Michael Dye,do you have any of the Forestors available?.What about the other 3 versons,would you be getting them in the near future?.
