Hot damn! One month challenge! Damascus edition!

Quick question. I know these blades are stainless damascus but do you all treat them differently than your other CRKs? Is it ok to rinse them off in the sink?

You can treat it like you would any other stainless steel. Rinse it off in the sink, dry it off and move on.

I've worn mine consistenly since purchase and it usually goes with me to the gym via IWB 3x a week. No issues with a simple wipe down (if I remeber to do it) and pat dry. At times, if I want the pattern to "pop" more, I will wipe the blade down with some mineral oil to bring the color back out.

This is my first damascus knife I have used for this long of a time, and I am a huge fan of how simple it is to take care of. I'm really impresseed with how well the edge back easily via leather non loaded strop. If that doesn't bring the edge back, less then 20 swipes on the Spyderco Sharpmaker UF and its back to hair popping sharp.

For giggles, I wanted to see how well it would hold up to boxes until it would stop cutting and started tearing boxes. 20 X on Brown Rods / 20x on F / 20 X on UF and it was back to hair popping sharp.

My first damascus sebenza is inbound, and she's intended to be used. I'll jump into the fray once I can.

I have a 31 due as early as tomorrow .... it is intended to be employed for both the one month; but the year challenge as well.

C'mon USPS don't let me down. 👏
Be sure to take pics when it comes in so you can admire how it changes and builds character overtime!
