Ciao

MM

I was a "lurker" at recdotknives, then I started frequenting knifeforums, but there was a lot of personal and political vendettas going on, and I didn't like the feeling of watching the ugliness that I didn't fully understand (It's a lot better these days). One day I linked up to Spearpoint.com and was reading one of their great feature stories and they had a link to Bladeforums.com on their page. I've been addicted to Bladeforums ever since... Keep up the good work, guys!!!

Sincerely,
Nick B.

When I first decided to put up an on-line cutlery store I contacted some industry people. The most helpful of all of them was Will Fennell of EDI. He suggested I come here and advertise here. I took his advice.

I found out about the forum through the newsgroup rec.knives. Since then I have been lurking and sneaking in every so often and doing a post. Great info provide here, and some good stories.

I found you guys through The KnifeCenter. What I like about BladeForums is its pool of intelligent, well-informed members. I have learned quite a lot here-and I thought I already knew a good deal before I joined!

(all right, so I'm just a knife lover)

I followed the forumites and the Sparkmaster. I like the people here and the info. Laid back style and flame-free arena.

I have been following the career of Don Fogg after I spoke to him on the phone 3 years ago(asked a question about heat treating) and when I found his page on the net, I looked at his links.......and the rest is history

This is a really informative site and I thank all who's involved. Hope to see more Canadian members in the forum.

Complete accident. I Yahoo'ed "knives", surfed about a bit on what showed up, and somebody linked to this forum.

Found it through a search engine looking for knife making supplies. It is a great site with lots of friendly people. Being relatively new to knifemaking I have received a lot of valuable and much appreciated information from the other members. They are a great bunch of people.
Keep up the good work and thanks for a great site.

As I recall, it was mentioned in rec.knives a couple of times. I had been reading that ng for quite a while, and decided I wanted more information, as I'm looking at buying more expensive knives (i.e., beyond my long-time SAKs and multi-tools).

We heard at Spyderco that there were a bunch of people up tight and confused over our pricing policy. Michelle (Sales Mgr) and Joyce (Mktg/PR) asked me to try to explain. Got sucked in by the high level and honesty of the communicators.

Similar to some other posters, got here from rec.knives. Visit fairly often just to scan over the topics. Really appreciate the lack of warnings about the Lithuanians taking over the universe. And I FULLY approve of any censoring that will keep it that way!

I found this place when I was browsing the KnifeCenter website and a BladeForums link caught my eye and after clicking it, I knew I had found something cool. I like to never ending flow of information. When there's always something new, it's hard to get bored.

Well, I was searching Altavista for any topics regarding "Cold Steel" when I came upon a URL that points to their wwwboard (hmm, is it still operational??). From there, I read (or at least try to) each of the messages there, and saw Mr. Mike Turber's post and the link to BladeForums.com. From there, the rest is history.

I'm not really much into forums or stuffs like that, being a BBS SysOp for over 10 years now, and yet somehow, Bladeforums have captured my interest, what with all the lively discussions, the friendly people all around, showing just how much they value each other's opinion, and how they really try to help each other out in every way. I love that cozy feeling.

Being a SysAdmin for a local ISP here, working the graveyard shift, I find the hours too slow in passing by. But ever since I found this site, it quickly became my best buddy to keep me company all through the night, and found myself looking forward to going to work every night just to be able to go back and continue where I left off, reading and learning from this site.

My hats off to all the people responsible for BladeForums. Guys, you're doing a terrific job! Keep up the good works!

Dexter Ewing's emails to me have the BF's URL as part of his signature. One day I got curious and visited this site. Now I'm hooked...

I learned about it a few moths back when a bunch of odiots were renting and raving in rec, knives

that's ranting and raving. But it's only fair to say that in spite of all the unpeaasant nonsense thrown around in the beginning of this forum it sure did turn out to be a great place for knife people to hang out

Started at "KFC" until the Colonel changed the recipe to extra crispy. So now I have come here to play and very much like it. You do chicken right!
Thanks Mike and Spark
