How do you comfortably carry your fixed blades?

I carry 11:00 & 1:00ish
Yes, that would work. Appendix carry never works for me though, always feel better having the pistol at my 4:30. It’s not as fast on the draw but it just feels more natural. Unfortunately, the knife at 4:30 also feels great so they are competing for the same spot. My work-around is the knife at 3:00, below the belt line so it doesn’t interfere with the draw. I posted a pic in this thread. Carrying a bunch of stuff is just trial and error but I just love experimenting and finally have it down. Pistol, spare mag, pepper spray, flashlight, 2 knives and it all feels good and balanced. A stiff horsehide belt is the key

Try carrying your knife off side at 8:30, if that's where it works best on your body.

I envy you thin guys. While I'd love to EDC a fixie in some of the manners you've posted, they just aren't comfortable for a fat guy like me.

What has worked VERY WELL for me is an Armatus "Architect" at 11 or 12 o'clock... (*Matt Braly has custom-made several for me)

Hell, even Kyle O'Leary (*"Deep Cuts Cutlery ') offers his "Little Rascal" with a similar garage...

I have carried my fixed blade in a horizontal crossdraw sheath for decades. I'm a strong advocate for that. Now granted I tend to prefer a relatively small fixed blade knife. My current EDC is approx 5.75 inches oal. The reality is whether in the shop or on the ranch I don't need a knife with a three to four inch or larger blade. I use a knife to cut/slice things. I have a chainsaw, an axe a splitter etc. So I don't use it to make firewood. So I might be cutting a calf, doctoring a cow, opening a package in the shop, a feed sack or a bale of hay. The horizontal crossdraw suits my needs. Its out of the way, I can get to it quickly if needed with either hand and its comfortable whether riding a horse, roping a calf, driving a truck or on foot fixing fence or in the shop doing leatherwork and making knives. Ya just forget about it till ya need it. It just rides there above my left front pocket:

I've found that sub 7" oal seems to be right for this type of carry. Both my own feedback and from customers. Ya get much over that and you do start catching it on things.
Just wanted to say that’s the most apathetic satchel I’ve ever seen. Sumbish lookin’ like 😑

Nothin special here. I've never really had a custom carry setup for my fixed blades, however I usually just strap them to the belt when I go out into the woods and take them off the belt when I drive home or get home if I'm just walking around. Works well enough for me, but if I carried a fixed blade every day, I'd definitely have to get something else going. I might have to get me, or make me, a horizontal carry sheath for one of my smaller blades.
