How long have you carried that edc knife??

Years for my Victorinox Tinker and mini-Tinker...depends on the occasion.
Between a BM585 and ZT350 for the last few months and weeks.

I was rotating through a few knives depending on my clothes for the day. Now however, I am just carrying my 1660TIZDP Titanium Kershaw Leek exclusively and everything else is just sitting on my dresser. I just bought it a couple weeks ago but have no plans to change my EDC knife now. So I'll come back to this thread in 20 years and say how I've been carrying it for 20 years :)

My EDC has been varied over years... From age 13-25 virtually daily Victorinox Swiss Army Camper.
From 1997-2000 BM 401 Panther until it was stolen. :(
From 2000-now a BM 835-KOTM from 2000/07 with the M2HS steel. with very minor breaks
From 2001-now a Leatherman Juice CS4, except when it went for warantee work to replace broken back spings
From 2001-2010 Kershaw Boa, also with very minor breaks, Knife was stolen in 2010. :(
Since 2010, added a Scallion
And this month added a BM 211...

So yes on any given day I have my Leatherman, and typically my BM835 and one or two more knives. EDC... SO many have a lotta years and miles on them.... :)Will add pics of the BM835 when I get a chance. BT1 doesn't stand up well at all to use... :)

I've carried a knife since high school .... about 40 years, the one I'm carrying today is only about 4 years old.

Its about 10:05 a.m. now at the Powernoodle Missile Silo, and I am on my 3rd EDC knife of the day. SOG Flash 1 > old school CS large Voyager > gray Endura 4 SE beater. And I'm about to switch again. I am truly mentally ill.

Since 2006

I started carrying Vic SAKs in the 80's. I learned to appreciate their quality and versatility, and the fact that they are not real expensive means it isn't the end of the world if I loose one. My current one is the Adventurer and I like the large two layer SAKs for pocket carry and utility. I have been carrying this same knife for the last 10 years more or less. I keep spares now and have a number of other SAKs available if I want some SAK variety.

I still experiment and often carry a second folder in addition to the SAK.

Before the SAK, I carried a two bladed Case folder. Still have that one.

You're a lucky guy! I want a ti leek badly, but untill then I'll get the g10 leek :D

kershaw scallion in camo for 2 and a half yrs. I wore it till it turned pink! Now on a zt0400 for 1 and a half yrs. during the week. and a 0350 on the weekend.

I've been carrying a kershaw leek since 2003, thats my longest, strange thing is it's serrated, because thats the one that I could fin in my old price rage, I don't like serrations but it still gets carried, because eve though I have other knives now, and other leeks, that's MY leek, you know? :P

For the past 15 years a Wenger Alpine Backpacker, a Winchester 4" stockman for 10 years. Those are always carried along with a larger one hand opening folder when outside.

1995 to 1999: Some Spyderco knife that I eventually broke.
1999 to 2006: Benchmade 710 in ATS 34 steel - black coated and partially serrated. Sold it and bought an Auto Stryker.
2006 to 2007: Benchmade Auto Stryker (Taurus edition).
2007 to present: All sorts of stuff. I miss the days of having only one knife.

Now I'm down to a Spyderco Sage 2 and a Benchmade 710 in M390 steel. I'm planning on selling one and doubling up on the other.

My Chokwe I've realized has been on my person for around one and a half months.
I just got an old Victorinox Old Cross Silver Alox Electrician. I don't think it will ever leave my pocket. I am absolutely in love with it.

I think the longest I have carried and used one knife was the original Byrd Cara Cara Rescue that Sal Glesser sent me to try out the shallow serration pattern. I used that knife for just under 2 years before I lost it overboard working on my lobster boat. Spyderco was generous to send another one which I have carried every day since, again, going on 2 years...

Gerber Freeman folder in S30V. It's been at least four or five years now.

oh man.... I want that knife so bad. I had the way cheaper version with crappy 440A steel. I'm sure you know this but that knife is super hard to find now days and when you do find one, they are going for way more than what was originally sold at.
