Carried two for many a year. Like some others have said, I carry a large single blade, locking, pocket clipped, one hand opening folder, ie the modern tactical style folder, and then a medium sized traditional slipjoint folder. The large folder, for the past month, has been either a UE M1911 Standard folder, or a ZT0650st, while the slipjoint ranges between a Case, Steel Warrior, or Hammer Brand knife, with the HB9 being my current one.
I've found that the slipjoint does most all the work I need a knife for during a normal day, but I like to carry the large one because I love knives, and it is just something for me to admire when I have down time. At times it is nice to pull out something that is very unique,
knives that most people have no idea exist, and I get a kick out of seeing their faces and then explaining what it is. Of course when it comes to the price I sorta gloss over that as non knifers just don't understand.
I'm just a knifenut and have invested too much money in my knives to leave them at home, and even though I may not get to use them on a regular basis, I can still carry them and have them if I want to use, and/or enjoy them.
