How many knives do you carry daily? And why?

I carry at least three when I'm working and sometimes four.

I have a Buck folder in a sheath on the left side of my gun belt, a Case yellow lockblade in my left pocket, a black Case sodbuster in the right pocket, and a Carolina Tool lockblade in my right cargo pocket. In addition I carry a multi-tool on my gun belt on the right side.

As for why, I really don't know. I obviously don't need all of those knives. But I somehow feel better when I have them.

If my invading Yankee guvmint employers would allow it, I'd strap a Bowie to my leg.

I always carry two a pocket knife and a belt line clip or "tactical" if you will. The pocket knife for office work in front of the sheeple and the other one just in case something a little bit more "dramatic" happens.

I usually have 2-4 on me. When I start my new job, I will only be able to carry one.

3-5, although I don't really count two of them as knives. I have an S4 and P4 squirrelled away in my daily kit. They do scissor and plier duty mostly, sometimes a file job. Technically, they each have a knife blade though I never use them for that.

For real knives, I usually have either a BM921 or an AG Russell Featherlite or a Bark River OMF. Then I often add the BM RitterGrip for a knife with some belly.

And for more extremes, I'll add the Bark River Northstar to that if I'm in the wilds.

For Dressier occasions, it's a BM440 and a different S4.

I carry a Victorinox Soldier in right front pocket and use it for everything from removing staples and cutting string to spreading peanut butter on bread. It's an extremely useful part of my everyday kit. I also carry a small reg Sebbie in my spec.-ops tach wallet, for why, I don't know cause the Vic Soldier handles 99.9% of my daily knife chores.

Not counting the Multi-tool, I generally carry 2 knives.
One Folder has a larger blade (3.5").
The other Folder has a smaller blade. 2.5" i think..

Reasons are much like Greenbone's, but to add a little to his explanation, I like to wood work, and it's great to have the back up blade in the event one gets dull, and I don't feel like sharpening at the time.

I usually carry two or three. A SAK Super Tinker or One Hander because they are so useful, a small stag handled lockback and a CA legal automatic that I use as a money clip.

SMF clipped to the right front pocket and a Vik Soldier in my left front pocket. Bottle/ can opener, screwdriver and sheeple friendly. SMF for eveything else.

2-3 Usually.

In right pocket:- SAK Explorer
or
Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn
or
Gerber Kiowa
or
Buck/Strider 889 (New & close to being my only EDC)

In pocket with loose change :- SAK Minichamp
or
Gerber Shortcut

In EDC bag(Maxpedition Devildog):- SAK Handyman

Glad for these responses. I get a lot of flak at work for carrying more than one and can never come up with a reason more than, "Cause I wanna!"

Typically two. One tactical knife, one multitool. I'll probably be adding a fixed
blade to that soon.

Rat-1 right front pocket, Native left front pocket, sak in right front pocket. Rat-1 for heavy cutting, sak for everything else, Native in case can't use/get to right hand pocket and because I want to lol.

At least 2. Buck SBMF, BM Mini Skirmish, Leatherman Micra and sometimes small slipjoint stockman. On occasion maybe a Livesay Woo around the neck too.

Usually, I only carry one knife at a time nowadays. I used to carry multiple knives that would serve different purposes (and it’s just plain fun to carry several knives at once :) ). I think it’s a lot easier though to simply drop a single knife in your pocket as you get dressed and ready to go. In generally really, I guess I don’t like to carry a lot of gear on my person.

i usually carry around four--folding in right front pocket,BRKT micro or OMF on left side, small SAK that was my dads on keys, some type of slipjoint in left pocket--this is my work set-up but off the job it's my BRKT Rogue Bowie in small of back and spyderco military in right front pocket:eek: :)
