  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

How many knives do you carry daily? And why?

I feel like the poor kid here with all those expensive pieces listed above..:(

Two SOG Pentagons and a TDI or La Griffe or Gerber Guardian.

None of them are used to cut anything, never displayed in public. All shave.

Two to Three. Not counting Leatherman Squirt.
One everyday sort of knife. - Leek or Delica. Sometimes BM 921.
One a bit more heavier duty. - Mini Socom Elite or some small fixed.
One smaller knife. - Smith&Wesson Pocket Protector or Falkniven U2

Why carry more then one?
I began with one. Then one day, I thought, I might need something more durable. So I got another. That makes two knives.
One day, I saw little knife from S&W. I thought it's cute and it would fit in the watch pocket on my jean. I bought it. I found that it's easier to carry it around being clipped to belt loop. Easy to access. Good for small cutting. So, I began to carry three and used all three to good effect.
I try to maintain sort of variation. I try not to carry similar knives. Different knives for different job.
Yesterday, I got some unpleasant occurance happening twice. So, I thought, I might need something more durable than my regular heavy or tough knives. I'm carrying Strider DB today.
I recently got BM Rescue Hook. I'm carrying it, too. But I don't count it as a knife. You can't do what you normally do with knives with it.

I carry two because this hobby would get boring if I only carried my sebenza. By carrying two I can rotate the other knife.

Usually 3. 2 folders and a medium fixed blade, when wearing jeans. When I am wearing my bathrobe, only one 4 inch fixed blade with a clip on sheath.

One knife is plenty for me......nothing around my neck, no fixed blades, no auto-openers or fancy-pantz flashlights.

I feel so insignificant;)

Cheers Guys!:D

Regularly I just carry a small folder. CRKT m18-02 or Spyderco Delica. I have two small chisel ground fixed blades that are real sharp with 3 inch blades, keep one in the car and one at home. Just general purpose knives, used for food a lot because they tear up meat. Also keep a cheap 3$ folder in the car to use for whatever. Digging dog poo out of my shoes, prying objects etc. It's got such a bad pivot assembly that I wouldn't even consider using it for normal tasks. I don't trust the lock on it at all and treat it like it's a slipjoint. A bad one at that. :)

I carry three. I have my "work knife" in my right front pocket, either my sm sebenza or BM 707. Since I'm right handed, I also carry a BM 940 which is ambidextrous in my left rear pocket just in case my right hand is occupied. Finally I carry a Leatherman Wave on my belt. I only use the knife of the Leatherman as a last resort because if the blade breaks the entire tool is shot.

I carry a Cold Steel Kobu on my boot and a Benchmade Stryker in my pocket and a Leatherman Wave on my belt and a SOG S37 in my bag and.....nevermind

In uniform a swiss tool on my belt. A manix clipped on my right pocket and maybe a SAK soldier in a BDU pocket.

In the field, replace the manix with my Busse Badger Attack 3.

normal clothes, a swiss army knife, I rotate between the 11 I have. Maybe a spyderco Delica as well. Thinking about getting a paramilitary to replace it.

On my keys which I always have on me I have a SAK midnite manager.

After deer season was over i had 6 knives in my truck and i only live 5 to 25 minutes from where i hunt,oh my nephews said they had 2 in there packs,I knew the oldest snitched the busse. I carry what i can find or what i might need it for.Can someone tell me how to not have the edit on my replys i am a comp idiot, thanks

Emerson mini CQC-7b and a Kershaw Ken Onion Leek are my two every day carry blades...

However, as my collection grows different days could yield different combinations.

I'm down to one on me (spyderco) because it's easier to disarm before going on school grounds to pick up my kid. However, I have compensated by having one in my purse(benchmade), two (kershaw & benchmade)stashed in my truck, a couple at work (spyderco and benchmade) and when I am out backpacking I go back to my usual three with one fixed blade. I feel more comfortable with something in reach. I miss carrying large fixed blades like you can in the countryside.

Typically I carry a SAK either on my belt or in my pocket. On the belt I would carry cybertool 34 or huntsman depending on what I am going to do for the day. If I dont have one on my belt I would carry the Silver Alox cadet or tinker. And I always carry my Spyderco Native.

Usually just one, sometimes two. It varies depending on my mood, as to whether it's a one-hander, a slipjoint, or a SAK.
When I carry two, it's a SAK plus whatever my EDC choice might be (SAK is usually in my briefcase all the time anyway).

Wow... I'm da*b boring. I only carry one at a time. Either my Opinel # 7, my Vic Farmer, or my Buck 112. However... they have never let me down;)
