I am sure I am way over 150, with probably 30 n.i.b. Victorinox knives. They seem to always be laying on tables at the gun shows and flea market, usually around $10 - $15 each cant leave them there for that price, they make nice gifts. I also will pick up traditional American made folder as long as its not beat. Its a great hobbies that isnt breaking the bank, and most of what i buy is worth a lot more that I paid, at least that's how I see it.

I had to change my vote. I thought I had near 100 knives. After counting this afternoon I found that I had 176 traditional pocket knives 😳

Close to 200 over all, and that does not count SAKs and single handle multitool knives.
I may have a problem 🤔

Do you really Need To or do you Want To ???? I Should but probably won't !!!

Harry

I guess it falls more under should or want to, than need.

I'm not really wanting a collection, with things that get pulled out to be cleaned and lubed and admired and photographed, and then put away again for another few months. I want my pile of accumulated stuff to be things I actually throw in the pocket or on my belt or have available on the dresser, and cut whatever might need cutting each day. I have more than I'll ever be able to wear out, and more than I'll put in my pocket or on my belt even if I carry a different one each day of the month.

I'm currently de-cluttering my life to fit down-sized spaces. I've been looking at culling knives. Already posted an initial thought on that. And I've adjusted that group again, several times. I can reduce by more than 50% and still have about 60 knives and multi-tools - traditional folders and fixed-blades, SAKs and multi-tools, and a couple pairs of more modern practical/ tactical folders and fixed-blades. That's still more than a month's carry just for the traditionals.

Why? 200 is not that much.

It is, for me. From a post earlier this page:
