I’m in the 101-200 area. I got mine the old fashioned way, inheritance.
…….yep, I get it, GT - possibly likely me - they jump outta the internet, and suddenly, they’re on your doormat. Just like that…I don't currently have an accurate count, but I know the total is more than 300 and less than 350.
Given that in January 2014 I had 5 (6 if I count an original Leatherman), I'm amazed by the current number, whatever it is.

I’ve been using Excel to track mine, but it’s tedious and not a lot of fun. I use Excel too much at work to want to use it at home. I’ve always wished that there was something like Discogs for knives. Discogs catalogs your albums or CDs.I'm building a database of all my knives. I've been at it for awhile, but it's a pretty tedious task. So far I've got 66 in there. I'm suspecting it'll end up somewhere north of 200.
I‘m also interested in something that is not Excel. After a few polling hours and 61 votes, are you surprised that zero folks reported having fewer than 5 knives in their collection?
How about the fact that about 26% are in the 200 and over categories?!
Many keep an inventory spreadsheet / database. Care to share a screenshot of the details you track? Here's a snipet of the top of my list:
This looks really nice! Am going to look into it. I don’t necessarily want to re-enter everything, but not too bad for around a 120 knives.I've been working at cataloging mine. I'm using the MyCollections app. Seems to work for me.
Here's a typical entry. No I'm not trying to sell the knife!

Exactly. That’s why I mentioned Discogs for albums. It is user-fueled, but pretty amazing. And keeps me from buying the same album twice if I remember to check it first!surely there must be the equivalent of those what is this bird app for knives that could be adapted for keeping track of a collection
FYI I use this app........... https://www.catalogit.appsurely there must be the equivalent of those what is this bird app for knives that could be adapted for keeping track of a collection
