How many knives do you own?

You're much more resistant than most of us.

I can scan though the current Spyderco catalog and I want- Dragonfly G10, SE Delica, Manix 2, Manix 2 XL, Gayle Bradley, Military, Mules, lots of Paramilitary 2.

I hang out in the Becker forum and I want a 9, 14, 17, maybe a 15.

And then there are Benchmades- 275, 520, 581, 760, 890, 913.

And there are Kershaw/ZT, and ...

And then we get to custom fixed blades...
 
I currently have 5, I have recently sold a few to get better ones. I got rid of a Benchmade Mini-Onslaught, a Buck Paradigm Pro and a Cold Steel Mini - AK47

Here are the ones I currently have. I dont think my collection will ever exceed 10 knifes. theres just no reason to have that many. I plan to add a Leatherman MUT soon and maybe a Ritter Mini-grip. and a few others.

Spyderco Native 5
Spyderco Paramillitary II (in M390)
Spyderco Paramiliitry II (in S35VN)
Zero Tollerance 551 (Elmax)
 
More than 30 less than 70. I haven't counted in a while. Nor do I think I want to.
 
Upwards of thirty with around fifteen Spydercos. This does not count kitchen knives, super cheapies and a few of my both my grandfather's traditional folders. I've pared down some lately but I've had this sickness since I was a young boy. Doubt it will stop anytime soon.
 
Around 80 last time I counted... I am with Moose, I just love them... Folders, fixed, tacticals, gentleman's, love 'em all. "Theirs not to reason why, theirs to look and buy", I think that's how Tennyson put it. :p
 
I own 18 folding knives, and 2 fixed. I used to have tons more, but started selling off the collection so I could fund customs. Now I own 7 customs mixed with mid-tech folders and a Busse Fixed blade.

The rest are production blades that I use as my secondary EDC, so most are 3 inches and below.

mine is similar to this.

My way of keeping things down (for folders anyway) is I have a small spyderpac case and everything has to fit in it or something gets sold.
 
I'm really not sure. I could probably come pretty close if I could be bothered to commit to that sort of concentration (which I'm not). But I have so many stuffed here and there where I might need them, etc. It's just hard to say for sure.
 
Never stopped to count, but it's definitely over 50. Right now, I'm going for quality over quantity, so I'm buying knives less frequent.
 
about a half dozen folding knives and maybe 8 or 10 machetes. doesnt count kitchen knives, utility knives, scissors, pruners/loppers or the odd saw or axe thats out in the shed somewhere.
 
I got to 25 then opened up another container...lost count got to 12, opened another container got to 5 saw there were more containers realized I wasn't adding them together realized a few could use sharpening then lost track of the task at hand and sharpened some knives...Sooo the conclusion at least 4 sharp knives but, a bunch more.
 
I have two fixed blades, won't ever have more than that. I try to keep my folder number to around 20-25 so I can actually use them
 
I have 35 folders; Spyderco, Benchmade, and few other miscellaneous brands. I'm about to sell off 20 of them to someone at the company I work for. He carries enough to use a different one each day of his hitch. I think it's overkill but at least they will go to someone that appreciates them. I want to get down to the 6 or so that I want to keep. I guess I'll have to do a give away and a never ending passaround.
