How many knives do you own?

I am new to this forum and to knife collecting. For years I had 2 knives, an old Benchmade 500 for camping and a Mini Griptilian for EDC. A few months ago I lost the mini grip. I decided to try and find a cheaper replacement. Big mistake. Five knives later, I found my mini grip. I have caught the bug and am just starting to collect traditional knives. I now have 16 knives.
I am going to have to hold there until after my daughter's wedding in March. Yeah right. The perfect number of knives to possess appears to be n+1 (n=the number of knives you presently own).

Well you know that you need a formal pocket carry for your suit or tux.
 
Ummmmmmmmmm.....uh...a lot? Don't really know for sure. I've got around 30 machetes, probably close to that number (maybe more) in fixed blades and folders, not including kitchen cutlery, antiques, a few swords/spears, and edged agricultural tools like my scythe blades, grass hooks, hay knife, axes, etc.
 
This thread prompted me to update my inventory of my collection excluding kitchen knives which are nothing special - kinda scary(for me anyway!)

35 in total, 17 fixed blades and 18 folders. When through and defined what I consider to be keepers (including new purchases yet to have recieved) and it looks a little different;

Keepers - 18, 10 fixed and 8 folders. Guess I need to thin the herd a bit...

Interesting to update my lists though, especially as the plan for this year was to reduce the number of knives that I have. That clearly hasn't happened... ;)

About 35, Have probable had north of 200 in the last two years, lots of in and out traffic though.
 
A quick tally is 212 Peanuts mostly Case, 8 Kershaws the rest are singles like Boker, Beckers and advertising knives. I have assorted Case folders from Shepherd Hills 1st day of the month sales, I was always hoping for peanuts but I ended up with trappers, Russlocks and stockmans. I have 12 various pearl peanuts and 12 ivory peanuts and one celluloid peanut that is in isolation in a Kraft cheese jar due to celluloids habit of self destruction. Still working to increase that number. I had to add that because of a preceeding post LOL. I never remember to include kitchen knives even if I have accrued a nice selection of them, with no little ones living here I can leave the kitchen knives out and ready to cut.

I've been collecting for four years. I think Im slowing down now, as I've just bought my second custom knife and Im more interested in those and mid-techs at the moment.
The only production knives that I really want are limited edition/discontinued benchmades and some spyderco sprint runs
all of which are becoming more expensive every month
