How Many Knives .............

I have many more than I really need but fewer than I really want and I try to carry/use as many of them as often I can (some get carried/used more often than others, of course...).;):D
 
I don't have enough of either fixed blade or folder. I have more folders than fixed.
All of mine see at least some pocket time.
 
Right now....

Folders = 30 'ish

Fixed = 50 'ish

Swords = 12

Axe/Tamahawks = 7

Mall-ninja throwing implements of death = 20 'ish

...Those amounts would all be about double, but my house was robbed about 12 years ago, and almost my entire collection was stollen. :mad: So I had to start over.
 
Ya know, you collect a lot of disposables that people give you because they know you like knives over the years...so not counting any of those....which are hard to GIVE away....

I try to keep only things that I use. No safe queens.

The fixed blades come out whenever I'm outdoors, one of which is an Ocean Master Beta dive knife. Goes with me whenever I'm surfing (fish deterrent :D).

At least one folder and often the neck knife come with me every day. Those on most frequent rotation?

-SMF and/or SNG for EDC These go wherever I go
-Benchmade Snody Intimidator neck knife is often with me EDC as well
-Benchmade Nimravus strapped to molle system when I'm outdoors
-MTL-SS in scout carry when I'm REALLY outdoors
-Ocean Master Beta on my calf when I'm sliding waves (big fish and big ego deterrent...hey, there's a lotta not-so-friendlies out there, and a lot of them aren't under the water...)

Last count, approximately 60 folders and 50 fixed blades.
Using about 10.

About 330 altogether. No count of fixed vs folders, but maybe 40% fixed and 60% folders.

Three are users, the remainder are in unused condition. So 1%...
There'd be more users, but I've lost most of 'em.
 
I'd say about 30 fixed blade and about 20 folders...just a rough guess. Someday ill count them.

Only 1 of my fixed blade and 3 of my folders are users. :o
My knives seem to last a lot longer than I had expected and I've not had the reason to activate more of my knives into active duty. I'm not going to stop buying though and I'm not really sure why.

Folders: about 6 modern
about 6 slippies
Fixed: ESEE RC4 when camping/hiking

Dang it hurts my head to count like this.
