Long time trumpet player (great high school band), currently have a Connstellation and a restored Olds Special, both from the 50's (Olds for sale, Conn-never!) Harmonica for fun, new bass player (getting better fast) and I have an acoustic guitar and a keyboard that I've been neglecting for too long. True Confession- I actually sold a few knives to pay for the bass rig
I play ukulele, drums, basically any percussion from triangle to xylophone, and im trying to learn guitar. I also sing bass and tenor
Played a cornet/trumpet for 3 years, then switched over to sousaphone/street bass/up-right tuba for HS/College. Tubas/etc were all supplied by the schools since they are so expensive. As I spent the next 10+ years on Navy ships where room was at a premium, I bought a baritone and packed that around the world on ships. Irritated the heck out of folks in the wardroom, so I usually had to go hide on the fantail to play. Kept at it until a 5 years ago when a NEOASBM decided to steal it along with all my power tools, antique silverware/dishes, yard equipment, waverunner, electronics etc. Just haven't got around to replacing it yet. May splurge and go all the way for a tuba, but good ones are up in the multi-thousands.
Acoustic guitar and keyboards. I'm a published songwriter. I went to college at Long Beach State with Richard and Karen Carpenter. Wrote songs with John Bettis. Played in a group with Steve Perry before he joined Journey. Met Duane Allman when he played for The Hourglass. Made a living playing in a cover band in the early 70's. Played synthesizer on Peppino D'Agostino's Acoustic Spirit album. Far, far too many stories to recount here.
