How much do you spend on Traditionals?

How much do you spend on Traditionals?

I dunno. To me it's kinda like asking a fella how much money he makes. Kind of tacky.

I Really don't want to know :D

^^^ this. Just picked up a smooth ivory barehead 2 blade #15 with the long pull clip, which feels like a grail knife for sure. I'd like to settle into what I have already and not buy anything for awhile. It's actually getting annoying to not be able to choose what I want to carry because there's too many good options. Still too new to feel comfortable selling what I have but maybe once I just use and appreciate what I have already I'll know better what to give up. I'm thinking I might start putting into savings the cost of any knife I think I must have and see how that looks in a few months.

One good thing about these traditional knives, seems there is something out there to accommodate all budgets

Guess you like the viper? On the fence anout getting one.

I love the Viper. I have big hands and it feels perfect to me.Nice pull and very well made. What an awesome pattern. My Natural Stag is my favorite knife right now out of all of my knives.

I was just going to buy that one GEC #15 to replace my "work knife" with something more office friendly. Those two GEC farm and field tool knives were cheap enough and seemed useful. Man, that TC Barlow was a nice looking knife and I had to get one. Oh yeah, I had to have one of those #15 "razor knives". Got two more on order.

How much do I spend? Bought just the one knife I needed. I don't want to talk about the others.

feel free to delete the thread if it offends you. I am just curious leaning more to the collectors here. There are just as many collectors as there are people who don't like to admit they are. Not trying to be tacky at all.

Maybe $5.00 <<<<<< is that okay -- as I am broke and wanted Candy instead.! What kind of Candy you say ~~ well I will
never tell.! hehe You all have a good night.**

Moderation is key.
All I'm looking for is a few more Bucks, another Bullnose, and a jigged bone barlow than I'm done. :p

So far this year, it averages out to $55 per month. That was spread out over 4 used knives from the Exchange forum, the Canal Street Eric's Jack, a new GEC 15 from the recent batch (couldn't resist) and the forum knife.

I don't plan on buying anything else this year so it should average out to $42 per month by the end of the year.

I don't find it tacky. Asking something how much they make puts them on the spot and makes them uncomfortable, that's why it's tacky. Asking in a forum with hundreds of members doesn't put anybody on the spot. The only people that will answer are the ones that are comfortable with it. Therefore, not tacky. Now admittedly, there will probably not be too many people that are comfortable.

well said.

Shoot. I came over here to chill out from the fixed blade purchases, or so I thought. Just got a Fremont Jack (sweet knife). And was/am looking at the Viper. And others. Oh, crap. I'm knife poor now. But hey!, it ain't money thrown away, just "invested". That's better than the wife's "investment" in yet another pair of shoes.
