How much snark could a snarksnark snark if a snarksnark could snark snark?

In on two. Bippity boppity boo.

Speaking of hand saws, the dollar store one that I think Trade recommended has been a monster. Pretty damn good value and still going strong.

Edit: oh......well....... in on two-ish.

Oooh yah... USMC done...

also... TBL got me thinking with his parangatangadibblydobbylydangboomerangchaingangorangatang review, and now I'm looking at my Pestilence chopper a bit differently.

hmmmm I dunno... maybe.

.

I once saved a neighbor's hand with one of those things, it lives in my garage now and is my goto pruning saw after I replaced the pivot with a chicago screw.

Elaboration: I walked outside one day to see my neighbor getting ready to saw into an evergreen bush with his circular saw...

I said holdon and went and got the little green guy. He was all "it'll take all day with that" and was about to circular saw it again. I once again got him to stop, asked where he wanted it cut, and about 20 seconds later, the top of the shrub was on the ground. He then asked to borrow it, and returned it with a broken pivot and a lot less shrub. about another minute and one chicago screw later, it's been going strong for another 18 months or so.

IMO, it's second only to the discontinued gerber sportsman's saw.

I like the top one IWHAF, reminds me of the pilot survival MA hetes from WW2

I found a pic on instagram where Steve johnson actually chopped the hump off his personal parangatang

The Pestilence Chopper was actually designed after the old folding camillus pilot survival machete. That top one would be to basically make it look more like it. The middle one would be more of a "pig sticker" basically it wouldn't be much of a machete anymore, but more of a long slender sticking knife with a sharpened clip. Then the bottom one is the parangatang tip, on the recurve. I dunno. I definitely am going to chop the hump and maybe permanently affix some scales to it, as oppose to the plastic ones, or maybe just mod the black plastic ones.

Quite digging that potential handle mod.

Yah, actually got the idea from the Zombie Cleaver Todd Hunt did up for Murph. I think knocking that thing off would still allow you all the grips you already have, but I honestly think it will be easier to hold on to! Plus the tang is solid/no skeletonizing, so there is some wiggle room there.

Anybody wanna' strip with me?

You got me excited and let me down in the same post, here I was starting to remove my pants..... snark

Cool looking mods IwHaF!

Two questions for everyone

1. What would be good for treating and preserving a stacked leather knife handle?

2. Looking for a new sheath for a Camillus Pilot Survival Knife.

My buddy that helped me with my Blazer the other day asked me to sharpen his Pilot Survival Knife. The sheath is toast but the handle is still in pretty good shape for now. Seen a few original sheaths on the bay but they're going for $40, also seen a couple kydex ones. Thinking maybe a Spec-ops might be a nice upgrade.

Actually, my factory BK15 sheath might work. But I'd still like to hear some suggestions.

I have a camillus version as well and I keep it in a tweener sheath. And I think obenaufs would be good for the handle
