Question for gun guys, S&W M&p or GLOCK
Yeah I'm definitely leaning towards the M&P. I'm also looking at a Remington R1 and the new ruger Redhawks in 45APC
Once I get off crutches I plan on getting g a job and saving up, and buying one when I turn 18
Question for gun guys, S&W M&p or GLOCK
If you're looking into a pistol for pleasure, rather than actual honest-to-goodness self-defense or CCW, I recommend getting something with a steel frame. The R1 is a good choice, as is the Springfield Range Officer. A Ruger blackhawk is a thing of beauty in any calibre, as is a good S&W double-action in the K or L frame. BTW, if you are going to buy USED, make sure you bring someone with you who knows how to evaluate a used pistol, particularly revolvers. The Redhawk is absurdly large.
but if you don't already have a ton of handgunning experience, buy a .22 first. Ruger Mark-2/3, Browning Buckmark, or some other full-size target-worthy pistol. Not some tiny compact thing that won't teach you to shoot.
i would, but my dad and already share the 10 so dont really need another. If you like that model 10, I'd say get one for yourself. They are really good guns and you can find them pretty cheap used and in good shape.
M&P all the way. They shoot straight.Question for gun guys, S&W M&p or GLOCK

i think ive narrowed it down to one of three
S&W M&P 45 (either a compact or midsize)
Ruger redhawk in .45 colt/.45APC
S&W model 66
