Wow, that is beautiful! Where in CA are you?
Thank you, I am in Tracy, CA just south of Sacramento
Ah yes. You mentioned the wildfires in your GAW thread. I'm in LA and we've been relatively lucky with the fires so far. We've had them, but less bad than previous years it seems.
There is one in yolo county which tripled in size over night
Send more drones my way - I need the skeet practice.![]()
I don't think so, I don't know anybody who has one and it hasn't been on the news, that fire is a bit crazy. There is another one in yosemite too.I saw that on the news. Awful. Are you guys having issues with people flying their drone cameras over the fires and preventing rescue and relief vehicles from doing their jobs? That's been a real problem down this way.
Just spliced shoe laces together. I had to stop near the state line for more shoe laces.
A certain Canadian suspect gave me one of those BD Gridlocks.
It's comfy and pretty light. On the much heavier side, I have a complete caving rig that I've used for pits and for the rescue training. The Petzl, I set up for rappelling trips, and I just carry a foot loop and a smaller prusik in case I have to go back up rope. Agreed on the autoblock release working better below the descender. I just had a 'biner loop installed on my caving rig so I can run a French wrap below my rack.

So yeah, those 15's are fantastic. One of my new favorites for sure. One is likely to stay bone-stock. Need to get some more stripper so I can make a set of wood scales for one and mirror finish it. What a great design.
Hey GSOM, your inbox is full!
Speaking of which, I just noticed I have not removed the link from my sig for the giveaway I did months ago. ARGH!
How are you liking that Gridlock. Pretty much perfect for that situation.
And who did that sewing work on that biner loop. Great looking bartacks.

Not any more. You could always email me, you know.....rather than call me out in a public forum for poor digital housekeeping.
Just wanted to say, if any of you guys are wondering what to get me for my birthday, or Christmas, or a belated Father's day gift.....I would suggest this:

Did you just get one? I think we have two or three in the house as well as two BK5s. Very practical blades. Looking forward to seeing the final modded versions.
