How much stock to place on lock tests?

Well, I have decided to overlook this and go forward with a purchase. I am just deciding on which one to get.

I have my eye on this one:It is pricey but if I am going to spend money I might as well go all the way on something collectible.

It's hard to say without seeing something in person but I do not yet have a Damascus blade in my collection, and I have tons of knives. But I like the crop circles as well. I can't afford both.

Well, Damascus does look pretty cool.
Personally, I'd go for that one.

Or keep an eye on the exchange. There will be a Damascus popping up soon I bet. They always do...

When it comes to the UGs it is hit or miss, as to which ones pop up. They do come up as well, but you can't say for sure which will be next unless you are the one listing it.

The UG will not stay that color, it will change depending on the angle it is viewed in Slightly. Not a Huge amount, but it can be noticed at times.

That being said, the raindrop on the scales matching the Damascus blade is a Very nice touch, and is Very nice looking

Edit to add: though the Damascus will not be this color, you can see the gradient effect in this thread.

I really like that crop circle Sebenza. That's gorgeous. :thumbup: I still wouldn't buy one when I can get Sage 2 for less, but that's just how I feel about this sort of thing.

I think people tend to forget where Cold Steel is coming from with these lock tests. They're a martial company that primarily tries to cater to martial artists, military and law enforcement and their knives are often designed to be effective weapons for those people first. That's just their design philosophy, hate it or love it. For most of us (as far as I know, anyway; certainly not speaking for the entirety of the BF community), a folding knife is a tool we carry in our pockets or on our belts and occasionally use to cut things with. In this usage, a lock isn't even necessary, though it does make me and others feel more comfortable much of the time.

Buy and use what works best for you.
