How should Collector Knives sell GEC SFO's

Well, no confirmation when I entered my email, now when checking it says that I wasn’t even entered in the drawing.

Only entered my email once so that I didn’t mess anything up. Oh well.

I got one.... Just thought I would post a positive comment so everyone doesn't think that only the eBay flippers were the lucky ones!

Apologies to all of you who weren't as lucky- hopefully the next three drawings work in your favor!

I'm not upset because I didn't win. I'm disappointed that it appears that I wasn't even entered even after following the rules and a confirmation message saying my entry was successful.

Congrats to the winners though. Given a choice this version topped my list. I'm sure it'll be a winner!

I entered, I was not chosen, big deal. Maybe next time. I really think this system is awesome. No stress, no worry. Unfortunately, no knife though :D Odds are I should score one of these, I am cool with that.
I totally agree with everything in this post!

Same experience here, but nothing worth getting upset over. I read and followed the directions and I’m only interested to see if it was operator error on my end so I don’t repeat the same mistake.

Totally agree. It really isn't a big deal, but obviously there are some kinks that still need to get worked out before the next drawing. I emailed Mike (as he requested above), which'll hopefully help him figure out why some of us weren't in the drawing despite doing everything right. Looking forward to the other drawings.

I could care less if I got picked, I just don’t want to be banned and miss out on all the other great offerings, especially the early reserve releases

Yeah they didn't pull my number either, oh well, but if I don't get drawn for the elderberry I must say I'll be bummed as hell. Either way I like the suspense of a lottery, nice lil rush!

There may be some folks trading before it is all said and done. I'd take any one of the four, and I'm glad I got a number for the saw cut bone, but I'm probably most interested in the ironwood.

Although I participated in some of the early trials, I slept right through todays drawing. Regardless, I would have slept through the old method as well :) I think the lottery method is way lower stress and a great idea. I also like the fact that they are spread out giving me a better opportunity to participate in the lotteries for the upcomming handle materials. Mike says he had to "remove" some folks for multiple entries so I don't know how accurate it is but the random picker site said there were 422 entries so this would suggest you have roughly a 1 in 4 chance of getting to pick one up. Having witnessed a few of the knife lotteries at bigger shows, I would consider this very good odds. And considering the first time I tried to rapidly respond when TC's were on Mike's reserve site several years ago had me, at the dismay of my wife and kids, suddenly pulling my car to the side of the road in traffic to fiddle with my phone (and was still ultimately unsuccessful) I would consider this much safer (and more likley to maintain marriages) as well!!! Good job going to the effort of leveling the playing field and I hope everyone is able to score what they want in the upcoming lotteries.
