How to make a custom knife.. You have never seen a video like this.. I promise..

Years ago I offered Cliff airfare to Blade, hotel room for two nights, and a room with which to speak about any subject he deemed worthy, and he scoffed.

My offer was made with sincerity....the fact that I know Cliff is full of shiiite, and his ASSertations would have been destroyed by the collective knowledge in the room.....he could talk the talk, but could not waddle the walk...and he didn't want to be in a position where his so valued personally held observations had the light of reason and experience shined brightly upon them so that they would shrivel and fly away like so much wind.

Cliff is a fat pud, you want to know what is wrong with him?.....he wants relevance and he wants the cutlery world to bow down to him and call him "Master" and he is really just a master baiter.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

That is a priceless story.
Fortunately, he can not post any of his charts on my youtube videos.
Dude, I had completely forgotten about Cliff Stamp and all the agony he imposed on any knife maker who was unfortunate enough to get in his crosshairs.
Memories.. Do you remember him breaking that knife into little pieces with a hammer and posting all the pictures??
Much Respect.

I wonder if it should be taken a a true sign of success if Cleft Stump crawls out of his burrow for long enough to insult you. At this point, he probably needs to "bring down" only really successful knifemakers in order to feed/project his ever growing feelings of inadequacy and self loathing. ;)

Thanks for keeping it real and putting it into perspective.

Haters are an integral part of SnodyKnives History.

I told homie he must have gotten his heat treating salts mixed up with Bath Salts.

He was offended but maybe I can be the one who gets him to finally put that stuff down.

Bath Salts are not good for you.

We only thought we knew what Hater's were.

Bath Salts is changing everything..

When a Hater takes Bath Salts and drinks about ten five hour energies he might type and troll, hype and roll for 72 hours before he falls into the Zombie Zone looking for someone to eat..

when I first joined this forum and was wet behind the ears, (and at least as opinionated as I am now) Cliff Stamp seemed like a guy who knew what he was talking about. I didn't see all his posts or know his history, or much of anything about this forum at the time. I've learned a lot over the past few years, and if I knew then what I know now...

At any rate, it's a good thing that he's gone from here.

Mike, I apologize on behalf of Canada for Cliff Stamp, sorry for the rash.

I am CORNHOLIO!!!!!!:D But seriously, what's wrong with these kids today? Back when I was a wee lad in Miami, we were perfectly content to do normal stuff like coke and shoot up our rivals, their wives kids, dogs and goldfish with Mac 10's

Lorien, as you know, this forum cuts folks a lot more slack than many others. Cliff had to be some kind of major pinhead to get banned for life just for being a douche.

Thanks J..

Dude I appreciate taking time to comment
Huge Respect.

And I appreciate your time as well. Your vids/posts and our conversations have helped me re-think a lot of things I was doing half-vast. Keep on keepin' on.

Excellent, I will check in with you later this week on that other deal.
Blue Skies..

Mike I just took time to watch the video and I'm glad I did :)

Great stuff to say the least and I really need a knife fom you. Yes you make a great knife but more than that I believe

Snody for president :)

Joe you let a big ole genie outta the bottle methinks.

Mike,

Dont know how I missed the thread, but I just watched the vid and plowed through the whole thread (I´m home with my feverish daughter today, otherwise I would not have had the time:)). Got to give you credit for the video. Being a hobbyist who grind maybe 30 blades a year, I recently started using a toolrest, which have improved my grinds tremendously.
In Scandinavia, if you claim to be the best you will usually be considered to be cocky and selfcentered. The humble, quiet man is the norm. However, it is refreshing to see someone like you, who has enough confidence to say it straight out:thumbup:

I hope your show will air on a channel we can watch over here like Discovery.

Thanks
Brian

Thanks for sharing your skills with the world in a time like this. I'm curious about the brand of resin that you use to harden the paracord.

Great video. I knew you pros had to be using jigs, I've been trying to freehand it for awhile and was about to give it up until now. Thanks for the inspiration about the jigs. I might be able to finish my Bro-n-law's Bowie hunter before next hunting season. 1/4"x1-1/4" D2. Overkill? Maybe.

Once again, thanks for the very informative video.

I appreciate your friendship.

Mike,

Well done - great video.

I'll admit, in the past I never gelled with all your style. It's just my taste clashing with your taste. I could always see the skill in your work though and could look past the parts I didn't like.

BUT

that video has rocketed you in my eyes. Really well done. Kept my attention all the way through. Top job by you and the crew behind the camera.

Thank you.

Mike, thanks for making and sharing that great video.

I am going to guess that you may have skipped some safety practices to avoid cluttering up the narrative flow; but if not, please consider wearing gloves when working with the epoxy resin. Those materials can lead to a skin sensitization reaction upon repeated exposure, you and your team don't want to risk ending up with an allergic skin response.

Well, as a guy thinking of picking up some basic tools to start making my own knives I have to thank you.

You make it look so easy, and it is a huge encouragement.

Gonna start saving my pennies to start into some simple making, just like what you have shown here.

Thanks from up North. ;)

I appreciate it keeping it real and speaking from the heart.
I have nothing but respect for you.
Thanks again for your words or encouragement.
