How would you describe the condition of this knife?

I just traded for a Cold Steel Triple Action spearpoint from another forum member. It was described as:

The TA with the double edge (which is the more rare one I think) has never been used. The blade is just great. Also the pocket clip is still tight as it has never been carried. So to sum that up, the double edge is, never used, carried or has even cut anything.

Also it was never used, as I know that as a fact.

When I got it I found it was missing the locking pin and has extensive cosmetic and other damage on the handle from apparently having been flipped a zillion times. I couldn't get a photo of it but the blade also has a worn edge near the tip, also probably from the flipping. Would you call this never used?

that thing looks like its been abused badly! and the seller said it was never used???? that knife looks like its from the bottom of a junk knives bucket at a surplus store if you ask me.

It's been used, abused, and looks as if it just wasn't taken care of.
I'd get back to the seller/trader and ask for a refund or to reverse the trade.
 
I know the member...
He's always been honest and a good guy to deal with.
But this is not good and is unacceptable.
 
If the forumite had any shred of decency he would rectify the problem with a full refund or trade you back what you traded him. That is 100% not as described

After some protest we should be reversing the trade. It was implied the condition issues of the knife were a matter of personal opinion. That's why I'm asking here.

It's hard to photograph. It doesn't have major damage, but the factory edge near the top and the tip itself is dulled from hitting the handle or something.
 
Blade may never have been used to cut anything, but the knife still has been beaten to hell.

You have every right to reverse this trade.
 
Matter of opinion? Did he not state that" it was unused, as I know that as a fact"? I would reverse the trade finish it up and steer clear of that dishonest forumite
 
First, I am confused on this in multiple ways.

This person contacted me TODAY, and asked for a trade back, which I AGREED to, I am not sure why this thread is here. Also I received that triple action under some very weird circumstances, and I was told all the things I passed on to the OP. I gave no argument of the condition. Also I never really looked it over a great deal, and it did not appear bad, given the not great configuration of the knife in the first place.

Also, I dont think I was ever argumentative, just I wanted to make sure all was right. I find this thread somewhat misleading, not completely false, and not fully biased in a bad way, just kinda misleading.

Also I dont think I ever said "condition is a matter of opinion" if I did, that is a incredibly ignorant remark, but I dont think I made that remark.

I also notice, I have not been portrayed in the best light, and I nor should I be on this matter, but people are jumping to conclusion without knowing all the details.

PS I have been talking to the OP all day, and I was not made aware that a thread like this was made about me.

Promptly reverse the Trade without comment or argument. Your response here seems slightly belligerent, misleading and argumentative- just a disinterested 3rd parties observation.
