HUNT Crooked River

This new one from BM has a familiar shape. I kinda like the classic look coupled with updated materials.

Anyone have any experience with it ? Just looking for some info (fit and finish , lock smoothness , overall quality etc).

Looks great! I'm waiting for the wood scales, but I somehow don't think the stock scale material matters too much to you.

Yup. In that configuration it's unquestionably a love letter to the older folding hunter patterns, particularly the Buck 110.

Very nice. Any idea which type of wood ?

I had a 110 back in the 80's. A classic design for sure.

It's just listed as dymondwood, nothing more specific.

The new ones are nice looking but I wish they were smaller... I would buy one if it wasn't any longer than 4 inches closed

I love the current size, but given the way Benchmade rolls I wouldn't be surprised to see a mini if it sells well.

The model with gray G10 is available now and, as far as dealers go, it doesn't matter tons due to MAP policy. BladeHQ, GPKnives, Knifecenter and Knifeworks are all good and should all be offering free shipping due to the price. I, personally, like Knifeworks, but you might be wisest to just pick whichever is geographically closest to you.

I'd say chances are good that a mini will be arriving in the near future.

I like the size of the current model. And the cool orange accents make it pop. I was planning on getting a Spyderco Myrtle as my next folder but now I'm considering the Crooked River.
