It's not that the tabs or pockets are a PITA.
Actually, I have both a CF and Ironwood set that I need to make very soon.
I don't think those tabs, when made out of wood, will be durable enough for to hold up.
The screw is a much more durable mount.
If you notice, I also made the other 2 original scale screws disappear too.
They now reside under the scale.

Can't wait to see you ironwood scale fort this knife !

Hello guys, I just bought the G10 version yesterday, it's a fantastic blade, but a bit hard on the opening, and the blade is slightly off centered to to right. Should I loosen the pivot ? What torx size is it ?

Edited to add: I agree that the new Hunt is a standout in the 2016 line up. Especially for the price. Great value and knife.

Haha -I boxed the superfecta!

The beefy stock thickness of the blade surprised me. Awesome. Excellent folder and, agreed, the price is killer.

That's pretty amazing stuff right there! Nice work!
It makes me re-think the Crooked River all over again, also I think it'd look great with some jigged bone or some stag on there too for better grip.

Received my gray Crooked River a couple of weeks ago. Exceeded my expectations. It has been my EOD ever since. Very functional and beautiful knife for me.
