Hurricane Isaac

The wind is kicking ass right now. Lights flickering. Sitting at my "in laws" house with a small bag of flashlights and firearms

And my favorite battle mistress

Luckily I still have power there are large areas of New Orleans, Metaire, and Kenner with power outages. Lots of wind not as much rain as I thought. Well see what happens through the night.

Guns and flashlights? That's a big check. I've even got a gun WITH a flashlight on it!!!

prayer and thoughts to all you that are down there- that you make it through safe and intact

Just like people that chose to live on a fault line or where the trees burn up every year, you pick where you live and then ask others to prey for you?

I don't get it, you picked where you live, there are Hurricanes there in case no-one told you, Buck Up or move.

That's like people moving next to an Air Port and then wanting to shut it down because it gets too noisy.

No one asked anyone to pray for them. And there is this little thing called "family" not sure if you ever heard of it or don't have any that care enough about you to live close to you. But we generally stick together

Thanks for making a dumbass comment in a serious thread

Well you see I was actually born here and had no choice in that matter.

As far as asking for prayers, I don't think that's why anyone has come here. I have been posting about this because there are a few people here on this board that are being affected by this storm and I want to keep peoples moral high and keep them up to date on what happening. People offer kind thoughts and prayers out of the goodness of their hearts. And I say there are other less prepared people here than me and they need your prayers more.

I think you are just extremely ignorant and I hope one day your life experiences will force you to grow as a person, until then try to keep your ridiculous comments to yourself, no one here will pat you on the back for a comment like that.

You live in a Hurricane zone and I'm the dumbass?

I'm not sure of you're a dumb ass or just one of the more ignorant people I have ever met. The fact that you don't see why you are being called a dumb ass kind of makes me worry about you.

We have power and a 6 pack. But I have to report for duty at 8am .....right when we are scheduled to be under the storm.

Fortunately there are no bridges were I work . Thanks for the sagely advice:thumbup::thumbup::D

I think the only thing I would find under the bridge would be a troll by the name of Charles

Well when you go out stay safe! Right now I don't have a drop of rain coming down right now, but I am just waiting for it....I know it's coming. Its extremely windy though.

Good thing you don't work 'round bridges. Them bridges can get tricky.

You guys take care of yourself...

Especially you Gravelface... it MUST be extremely difficult to leave your family and report to duty in the midst of a storm.

I have deep respect for men like you.

Be careful out there.... God bless.
