I disliked flippers until I was looking at the Steel Will Mini Cutjack in M390. Got the knife and love it. Prior to that I mostly had SOG flippers (Vulcans) and got the flipping thing out of my system. Flipping is not important, but it's fun.

Love. I'm a natural fidgeter, so having a knife to flip around and play with us awesome!!!! I've got a few flippers, some perform better than others, my Ruike 801 is best.

I don't care if it's thumb studs or the flipper tail style, I like both. I also don't care if I have to add a little wrist action in to get it all the way out. It's just plain fun to do while sitting around watching boring television after work.

My latest is the Boker Urban Trapper that I have been carrying for a week or so now. Slow flipper without wrist action. Still playing with this knife and using it. I certainly like the blade shape and would make a great gentleman's knife/dressier work knife.

Im 100% with you. I love front flippers.

Check out my little front flipper collection. I have another one on the way.

This is my favourite style of back flipper. Rather than having a tab the scales are cut away to expose the corner of the tang. Unfortunately it is on almost no knives, these are modified Boker Kwaikens. However there is the Spyderco Smock coming out which will feature it!

Too bad they kind of ruined the smock by taking away the ability for one to hold down the button lock and swing the blade out.

That looks awesome! Miso2 is another front flippeurista and he had REK regrind his feist. The feist is such a good knife for edc, an absolute joy to carry.

I haven’t really done anything crazy to mine. I just did a little at home diy anodizing.

On the Feist I just did the back spacer and clip blue.

I did a little custom work on the Boker Exskelibur framelock. I highly recommend this knife particularly the fill titanium version. It is extremely thin with a very slicey blade! You have to see this knife in person to understand what an amazing edc it is. Best action of any knife on teflon washers too.

Look how thin it is next to my Inkosi. It weighs nothing too. Mine is the cf scaled framelock but the full ti version I used to have is better because the cf version comes with centring issues sometimes

Don't hate them, but don't prefer them either. If a knife I like is only available as a flipper then I'll get it, but it's not my first choice of opening method.

My flippers are my version of a fidget spinner. They help more toward keeping me happy than all the “Don’t worry--be happy” advice in the world.

I'm kind of indifferent regarding flippers. I can take 'em or leave 'em. The one's I do have I really like and I especially like the ones that offer an alternative opening method.

I like flippers, autos, and thumb holes. Thumb discs, then studs last, but I have and use all. Flippers are just so easy for one hand opening/closing. I'm not a fidget person though, only open my knife when I use it.

I am ok with flippers but have really started to love the easy opening of a front flipper like my Clyde Challenor Hornet. I have been interested in them for some time but finally got the chance to experience one and I really like it.

I have been in flippers for some time, but I went back to manual opening.

Maybe have I seen too many "ball-bearing-titanium-frame-lock-flipper-super-steel" in the past years production to enjoy them at their true value anymore.

Actually after experiencing some good manual folders on washers, I have been spoiled of my flippers.
Now, I am more into simplier designs and constructions.

I understand how fun flippers are for most hobby enthousiasts but IMO there is more marketing than usefulness in all the hype of the last 3-4 years.

I think to sell the flippers in my collections. Maybe in the futur I will go back into it, but for nowaday, I am out of this.

Main problem I have with flipper knives is the fact that for a lot of the models the usually only way to open them is with the flipper tab.

Sometimes you want to open them slowly in a non-flashy way, or quietly and it's impossible or very difficult to do so.

Having said that, my Skaha is amazing, regardless of that.

I'm fond of the flippability of all my flippers, but as others have said, the whole "titanium flipper framelock" sthick is getting a bit.. Boring.
You do get a kind of a guard though, which I appreciate.
