I ain't drunk (yet). .. I'm just drinkin'!!!!!!

Alpha,

Good to know I'm not alone out here!

I favor the combination of .45ACP and German engineering. Nothing against Mr Browning.

SpearHog, I have a Baby Eagle .40 cal. It is by far the nicest .40 I have ever handled. What a piece of steel! I think Uzi is the actual manufacturer.

Hey Ba-by! ;) :p :D

mmm... Ok. I guess I'll buy that. I could justify sending a .416 Danny's way.:D

Now....we are getting somewhere!:D I bet the little troll would pop like a shook up can of beer.

A quiet word of caution for these "super hot" necked down rounds. Esp when on an ultra light platform.

The gods of physics are a uniquely unforgiving bunch!

Yeah, you posted it with Kassi behind the wheel over on the other board. You have the full size in .40, I have the semi-compact in .45 and my wife packs a compact in .40. They are beautiful little pistols. Same as the Jericho that is Israeli army issue. They did market the .40 as the "Uzi Eagle" for a while but I think that was only because all the manufacturing belongs to IMI... Uzi, Galil, Jericho, etc... and they were trying to cash in on the name recognition.

9mm Glock or preferably .45 Colt 1911, anything else just confuses the issue. Use the Colt to fight your way to a long gun, then you're talking...

I never have owned anything from Desert Eagle. I saw a guy at the range with one, I believe he said it was a .50 AE. It was quite a piece of hardware. Made a hell of a bang.

Jerry, is that fusion a fatty? Looks like it to me. Maybe a ergo bird beak something or other?

Yep Single stack .45 smaller than a G-19 slightly Thinner
I had a 30 the extra rounds were nice but it printed too much the 36 does not print at all in my BUY BROWN TUCKABLE :D :p

Howdy everyone. Just got home and thought I'd drop in and say hi.
I second the Sig Sauer recommendation. I also like my Glocks quite a bit.

Oku is right on... too high of pressures are beating these guns up without a payoff the .45 can offer...

Progunner,

What model 9mm did you hang on to? I have a Glock 19, but my favorite is still my SIG 228 with factory short trigger, Trijicon night sights, and rubber Hogue combat grips.

I recently picked up a 1911 after a long stretch without one. It's a Springfield Loaded 5" in stainless. I love it!:D

It was nothing special, just a G 17. Has a pretty good trigger on it though. My 45s are Les Baer. I have had Wilson Combat and Springfield Armory "loaded" pistols and I have to admit that they are nice, but I will probably never shoot anything but what Les makes.

I like the way those feel in your hand. I tell you a 45 that I like but can't afford is a Sig 220. That one fits my hand just right.

Ya know, I've been thinking (never a good thing).

Knives and side arms are a lot like underwear...everyone likes it to fit "just so".

As far as compacts go I have a Kahr Elite 98 in .40 and also the Kahr compact in the same caliber.

.50 action express is what the desert eagle is, rounds like the .41 action express went by the wayside...
