Scored a mini fridge today... 30 bucks. It's old but it gets ice cold. Small. But can hold 24 beer bottles. Just barely. Or 22 beers and 1 Pepsi 2 liter.

Happy to be able to keep cold beer in my shop!

It's kinda small though. You'll have to restock it 2 or 3 times a day.:D

Haha, sounds right! I told the wife it makes a great Friday night fridge, now I just need 6 more :D

Really though we're going to be buying a new fridge for the house. The one we have in there now is pretty new, but small compared to the one we had in Philly. So the one in the house will make its way to my shop. It's 14 cubic foot so I'll be able to fit plenty in there.

But that's after Christmas. So for now this will do!

Auto knives, switchblades and the like will be legal in Maine on the 15th. Anyone have any good brands or advice? Chances are I will pick one up soon. Microtechs are nice, but pricey. Not out of the question though.

I've been waiting to try out one of the Kershaw 'Launch' series. GSOM has one.

Michrotech and Protech make nice ones, and I agree they are a little pricey. I was looking at their o.t.f's a little while ago for something interesting to play with. Illegal up here in Canada for carry :thumbdn:

Was drooling all over Jerry Fisk's website a little bit ago and figured I'd bring these over... Remind you of something?

There are more of his camp knives on there but this one is awesome to me.

Most autos are fairly expensive but they have build quality to match. Benchmade has always been a popular brand for autos and Kershaw just brought out three autos this year.

I'd like a Benchmade myself.

I'm somewhat of a Benchmade fanboy... I've got the 9051 AFO II, non-serrated, satin drop point, and like it a lot. I don't carry it much since I work on Ft. Hood and they have a regulation again autos, despite being legal (now) to carry in Texas.

My brother bought one of the Bedlam autos from Benchmade and really likes it, although I am not a fan of the blade shape. It certainly looks cool, but I don't see it as very practical.

Forgot I had a picture....

Autos are not unreasonably priced when they are sidewinders.....when you get to OTF's that's where the price starts to go up considerably. The Kershaw Launch series are really nice.....and priced under a C-note. I have a couple OTF's made by Lightning which are reasonably priced - cheap, actually - but there's a HUGE jump in price between those and the next tier. Like, a couple hundred dollars difference. There's not a whole hell of a lot in between - and I've looked. The ones I really like are the dual-action scale release sidewinders. Can be opened with the thumbstud and no one would ever know it's an auto (no firing button).....pull the scale back with your thumb, however, and there'll be no doubt it's an auto. I have an HK Scorch that I like to carry in non-auto legal jurisdictions, because it presents as a simple manual folder when I want it to. Pretty cool.

Apparently, I don't have a picture of it. Shame on me.

this is the one I have. The pivot is hidden under the scale, pivots slightly to release the catch on a leaf spring that pops the blade out.

So, Saturday this happened. Got an email from Doug saying I won in the Knife Rights Ultimate Steel Spectacular. Scrolled through for a while and found this Anders drop point hunter. It looks like something I'd be happy to carry with me so I picked that. I can't even begin to explain how excited I was to get the "tap."
