Well... My teva sandals broke yesterday... One of the straps pulled out completely from the rubber.... Only about 3 months old... And granted, when the one broke, I was stomping in dirt around a fence post... I set 16 4x4 post in the ground and tamped them all down by stomping the dirt around them before the break..

I have worn them, and only them, every day since I got them. In fact, I have only worn regular shoes for about 2 hours in total since I got them.

Sad day, smoke headed up. Ordered another pair, the same exact ones. But now I must wait.
 
I believe I'm going to go through my open water fishing stuff this week and get it put away for the winter. Probably dig out the ice fishing gear and sort through that too. See hunting starts here next week, so I wont be fishing anymore until we have ice. Hopefully, that shows up sometime late in November.

Saw this over in the BH knife moding/making thread. Really slick. I like the temper color finish. I need to try my hand at a dashi someday. I made a prybardashichisel like thing a long time ago out of some 1/4" leaf spring steel. It's nice for breaking/prying stuff. Nice work Daiz.

Men shouldn't be wearing sandals anyway. One can only imagine how horrible the feet are of some backwater hillbilly from Florida. :D

My niece calls them Jesus's sandals, by the end of most days my feet are darker than coal.... But my feet have never been more comfortable, even hiking through woods or kayaking getting in and out the creek...

Could have used their warranty but can't find the receipt... Luckily I know I like them, and what size to get, so I ordered online and got them for 65 delivered tomorrow, instead of 80 in the store... And I'll keep the receipt this time.

Your not ripping anyone off. I sold shoes for a few years and believe me...they get reimbursed by the mfr.
In fact...they're allotted a percentage of no ? asked damaged/defective.
 
I'm sure yall are getting tired of these, I'll stop after Halloween I promise!! The Farmer got the nod today, one of my favorite knives evah!

Ugh, I think I just figured out why some folks can't see the pics. Seems like the current google photos app does not allow anyone to see the pics unless the viewer is also logged into their google/gmail account. Will investigate further, but until then, if you have a gmail account, log in and you should be able to see my pics. Sorry about that folks. The joys of trying to stay connected with limited Wi-Fi and cell service.
 
Well that's too bad. I was all ready to blame Canada. Now I guess we will have to blame Google. Just doesn't have the same ring to it.:D

I think they're great. I tried it with some smaller acorns and didn't get very far. The acorns were way too hard and I was pretty sure I was going to end up carving my finger instead. Are you holding them in your hand while doing this? Maybe I just need to find the right kind of acorns.

Well, I'm logged into my gmail account AND Chrome and I still can't see them. Tried copying and pasting the link and some other tricks us 'Murican dumbputer exspurts know that you frostbacks prolly don't....if'n you weren't in Tennessee, I'd blame Canada......
