To the OP
1) Have you done any research on what these knives are?
Yes I have.
2) Have you compared the attributes of these knives to your needs?
Absolutely!
After you've done these two things and you think an ESEE knife might be useful to you, come back, give us some info on what you plan to do with it, and we'll try to help. Until then a couple of individuals have posted some of the good general attributes of the knives.
The answers they posted were exactly what I was looking for, the reasons they each would recommend ESEE knives.
As an aside the folks here can seem a little gruff at times... ok they are. But your post looks like you've put maybe just a fraction more than no effort at all into this. That kind of wanton laziness (even if it is apparent and not actual) gets under people's skin quickly.
Perhaps people's skins may be a bit thin if trying to get them to recommend a knife they love (or at least enjoy) gets under their skin. My post was meant to be direct and to the point. Wantonly lazy.....(not actual) nobody's ever slapped that label on me but there's a first time for everything.
I myself can be a bit gruff at times. I took no offense to a single response to my post. Life is WAY to short to let the small things 'get under my skin'(other than splinters).
By the way thanks for everyones perspective.
