I agree though. I made up my own mind that I want an ESEE. There was MORE than enough info here to help with that decision.
 
i'm in the same boat as the OP... i don't hunt/camp... and generally have no day to day need for a fixed blade... just a regular dude that has edc folders.

is there any other reason to own one of these knives other than you just think it's cool to have?
 
No...truth is they are a high quality knife, made in AMerica and the warranty can't be beat! They even cover if you use them to pry boulders apart or throw the knife at a brick wall...though you MUST be prepared to be called a dumbass! (the more I drink the better my typing gets apparently!)

beautiful. sorry if i came off as harsh. i too am very sarcastic and your post seemed very arrogant to me. anyway, if that's not the way you intended it, i apologize. these are truly great knives. i love my izzy. fyi, i'm not sure the extra 1/2" of the ii would fit under an ascot. ;)

maybe an izula - but if you didnt crave for a larger sturdier blade i don't see a reason... what i like about ESEE is that their stuff is made for (ab)use - i don't think it's a knife for the vitrine. imho lying around doesnt do them justice.
