I got a knife from China a few weeks ago from a New Jersey importer.

That's fine. I wasn't saying anything other than what I had typed, there was no need to read further.

I work to earn my income (as do you, I assume).
Due to that, I don't want to risk the headache over some faceless company that uses who-knows-what for blade stock, heat treats it to one-can-only-guess hrc, and sells it to whomever feels like the are getting an "on par" knife for the funds...
For $10, I am looking at Opinel
For $50, I am looking at Ontario & the exchange
For $75, I am looking in the exchange for a Benchmade, Spyderco, and a whole host of other reputable companies

No thanks, I will stick to companies that have earned their positive reputation, not ones that I trust only due to them not causing me to lose faith in them, but stay a crap shoot.
I am paying for a reputation, and I am willing to support a that, not get what I can until they decide they can't be bothered.

Well I just didn't understand the comment that CH triggers my suspicions but I still give them my money. I simply dont believe that is an accurate statement. Either way yes, I am completely different than you it would seem. I have an interest in Chinese knives and I like to be one of the first people to try out a brand. Especially when they go on to be popular and I can get one of their products before they raise their prices. I don't really feel its risky though as every time I have ever got something I felt was less than expected I am either refunded or compensated. I don't really have much interest in domestic brands with the occasional knife striking my fancy like microtech OTF's and random knives here or there being the exception. I dont really care about brands or warranties and I dont frequent the exchange for hardly anything.

That's funny ,you have no interest in great American knives while I'm only Interested in China for 10$ beater knives.
Now this is only because for what I like in modern folders I can get one made in America for under 50$ or less and will always buy an American knife over a Chinese one for the money.
I prefer lightweight lockbacks such the bucklite max, buck bantam, or the spyderco delica that I don't yet own.
I love a good value knife, so I might check the Chinese folders out if I liked titanium and flippers though.

Yeah im definitely an odd duck. I like to see just how much i can get for my money and the recent dramatic increase in chinas capabilities to make great knives i just really find it to be the most exciting market to watch when it comes to intricate machining and bang for buck.

i dont know anything about this knife here, but theres a lot of high quality stuff coming out of china for pretty affordable prices nowadays. even knives offered by companies like kizer are giving you really good bargains for what you are getting. no need to shy away from chinese knives, they can make a knife as good as anyone else.

also some companies like kizer pay american knifemakers for their designs, so you are still supporting hardworking americans

I've picked up a few of the knives in question. The two on the top are Two Sun and are unremarkable. The handles appear to be titanium as advertised (non magnetic) and the specific gravity is off to be steel or aluminum. The blades are advertised as D2 and on some limited use cutting cardboard they seem to perform D2'ish. Beyond that they're not that great. They're very rough and unfinished. They don't deploy well, although the lockup is decent. The grinds are ok but the knives just have a cheesy feel about them. If Two Sun is destined to become the "next thing", they have some work to do.

The CH3001 on the bottom is a different story. It really is a pretty sweet little knife. It reminds me a lot of the early Kizers from 3 years ago or so. If this is indicative of what CH can make, they might be the "next thing".

Disclaimer: I bought these knives because I was reasonably confident that they weren't clones and it's my understanding that neither company was involved in cloning. If I'm wrong, I ask your forgiveness for an honest mistake in an attempt to learn more about knives. I've been on the record here soundly against clones and counterfeits but entirely open to imported knives.

Umm... you know the Delica is made in Japan, right? And if you can find one new for $50 let me know where. They are fantastic knives.

He's might be confused or he might say later he left the word "Japan" out of his argument.

It was just an example of the type of modern folders I like, and I know it's more than 50$ that's why I don't own one.

It was just an example so it doesn't really matter where it's made.
And no I'm not just gonna say that I forgot a word, because I didn't and would only say this if I did.

it is definitely titanium. I am sorry I used a stock pic, did not have one of my knife at moment. I will supply a pic maybe this weekend. Damn, some of you guys have some real issues. I am not a fool, I can tell titanium from aluminum and steel. The price is not that much out of the norm for the materials, but is mostly a good deal for build quality. I bought this knife after reading this review.

To those that think I am somehow benefiting from this post, bite me. I just thought someone may find this knife interesting if they want a pretty high quality knife for a low price. I am not even sure if these are still available. I was just impressed with it as this is my first Chinese knife. I did not want a clone, and thought this one looked interesting and worth the gamble at that price. The handle is finished very nicely, the blade is ground well, cuts very well with a pretty low angle grind.
These guys that attack purely based on it being chinese, or that it can't be good because it is cheaper remind me of fools I used to run into on track days telling why their BMW Z4, or Porsche Boxster was so much better than my cheap Honda S2000, until I blew their times away, lol.

Think how much money a company can save when they have a limited to nonexistent sales, marketing or warranty dept. They can pass that savings along.
I've recently gotten into Reate knives. They are very high quality. They also went up in price pretty dramatically. The Horizon A with M390 went for $250 I believe while the Horizon D just a couple years later with similar materials is $400.

Here's the CH. The online description says 9cr18mov, not D2:

The CH one looks exactly like this Kubey one:

Which looks just like this Two Sun:
