I got off my butt and wrote a book!

Any word on a nook version? I am interested in getting it but my book case is severly over flowing and I need to save on space. Review looks good.

It doesn't look like there is yet. I'll have to e-mail to find out if it's coming...you can also click on the "request this book in Nook" to put in a request that it be made available in e-book on Nook as well.:)

I would think it should be at some point, as it's already on Kindle and Kobo.

I bought and have almost finished the kindle version (will finish tonight) and it is definitely worth the money great character and story the only glitch I have found with the kindle version is that when you turn the page you will often lose the last few words of the carry over sentence. This is not a big problem as you can usually fill in the blanks for yourself but still a bit annoying. As i have said though its a fun and enjoyable read!

Glad it's an enjoyable read.:)
Quick question regarding glitches: did you purchase it in the last few days, or a little before? I ask as I had contacted them regarding a glitch I had noticed, which now appears to be fixed.
Just gathering info to keep on top of things, so I can get any issues addressed.

I bought it the very first day that you announced it here. So its possible you may have addressed it already.

I just got the book into a local bookstore here, Juniper Books.

Great book and I really enjoyed it!!

I am also in the process of writing a book and would love to pick your brain as to the process you went through to get it to the market.
If your in Toronto the beer is one me....or coffee or soda or poutine!

I am going out of town this weekend and will not have Internet available. Not the worst thing but all week I have been trying to find a book to occupy my evenings. This is perfect. Just bought the nook version. Congratulations and thanks!

Sounds good all around.:) Check out iUniverse.com for how to get your book out there; they are quite helpful. Many options exist with them.

Glad to be able to help.

Thanks, I did not know it was so easy!
That site is pretty cool and can really help to get the book to market.

Many thanks!

You're welcome.:)

The great thing nowadays is that all which is required is the drive to sit down and finish it (which many people still find reasons not to).
From there, the market can decide.

I'd looked into traditional publishers as well, but you need to go through an agent (which also costs money), and usually have to sacrifice some of your artistic vision as well. So now you even have well-established authors going this route also, for when they don't want to sacrifice one iota of their vision as to what the book should be.

Once again, the internet has revolutionized the ways things are done.

Did you use a program like one of those free programs to help you, I am using Word and one of those things called a pen and paper LOL!

As for finishing the book I had a laugh, inside the cover of a book the author said " I want to thank my wife and daughter, if it was not for you this book would of been done two years sooner"

I used Word as well as pen and paper also; Word for the actual writing, while pen and paper worked well for plotting the story arc. I find that pen and paper works best for me when kicking ideas around, and keeping track of the story timeline.

I can see what the author of the book you mention means, as life has a tendency to get in the way.:)

I still want to know how to hire someone in India to write a book for me ;)
