  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I just ordered a limited edition bk16!

Gouging is Illegal, a crime, but for gouging to even be considered 3 things generally must be present.
1) There has to be a declared emergency
2) It generally has to be an item necessary for survival
3) An authority usually will set a price limit, above which you cannot charge.

So, if there was a huge earthquake and the governor declare's a gallon of water can"t be more that 3.00 per gallon and you charge $20.00 per gallon, a body might be guilty of Gouging.

In addition SMKW has gouged me twice on a BK16 and I'm considering letting them Gouge me a 3rd or 4th time.

I just broke down and got another 16......This time with the code mentioned before.

My Machax finds are dwindling...

I think of it more as buying a Becker, and a $5 knife and getting free shipping, something for the 16's big brother to chew up, or in my case, my little brothers birthday present.

And that, is the healthy way to think of it. It's just value, or it isn't and you vote with your dollars.

MSRP is like 107 so even at 92 its not bad for a limited edition.

"Order XXXXXXXXXXXX has not been shipped yet."

Nope, not impatient at all....

OK . . . now for some pix of the BK16 I picked up at SMKW this morning.

Congrats on being maybe the first person (other than Moose) to get your hands on a FPR BK16 and a big thanks for posting all the pictures for us to enjoy.

Would you mind taking a few comparison pics of your new BK16 with either the BK11 or BK14? I'm curious to see since Ethan essentially designed it to be a scaled up necker.

I wonder of I can cancel my order from Friday and use the code to save some money. Also take advantage of the sweet sweet folder.

Amazing. This thread started on friday and it's already 22 pages long! I'm gonna sit out of this limited frenzy and wait for the regular versions.

Sounds good. I'll sell you one for $200 in July. ;)

nope, not going for the signed first run version. I know I probably won't use it, but a regular version would be.

Price Gouger! I'm calling TSA

That's the price of the knife and space rental in my safe for 4 months. All quite justifiable. Plus, the fact that it's being shipped to Wisconsin means natural cryo treatment!
