So... what is everybody up to on this beautiful Sunday afternoon?

Got a shower and a treat a few minutes ago.

Looks like I got some catch up to do!

Thanks man, she keeps asking what the different whistle calls mean. It's good for me cause it means I have to remember!

We had one that looked suspiciously like that today too! It was beautiful! I was on my way home from the hospital and on the phone with mom and I told her even "there is a GORGEOUS rainbow today"

You are very smart for someone so young and not married. This (probably) couldn't be more true. ONE is too many.

Yeah. Worst use of butterfly keys ever.

Young? Either you don't realize how old I am or you're like 100. :p

Yeah the table was good in theory, no so good in execution.

If we start competing things will get ridiculous pretty quick. Also my count is 6 now. :p

Haha. Hockey is pretty big wjere I'm at in NY however I don't really follow sports too much.

So, just came into the house, letting the water warm up for my shower, been in the shop since 7 A.M. I look like a coal miner, I sure will be glad to get to Blade, that means the work will be over.

I'm not a "sports fan" I'm a Chicago fan. I know that sounds "uhhhh what?!" however I like my Chicago teams. Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs... Hell even the Fire (soccer) I follow them really close however if you ask me about the White Sox, I can only tell you where they play and they had "The Big Hurt" play for them, and Jordan was in their minor leagues.

Oh, if you want to start competing, believe me I can keep up! Don't worry... I learned for The Late, The Great, The Clich!

I still hate raisins.

WW: you asked for it:

I could live on THAT boat.

I guess Crimson never showed up.

Ill tell you what when you start mixing angles, distances, and sizes stuff gets complicated quick.

For instance lets say you have a triangle with a base of 5" and you go 30° from both sides of said triangle base, how far must you travel on both sides to reach a final point thats .25" ?

Another example, lets say you travel 3 inches at 20° from both sides of a triangle's base to a point of .050", what is the thickness or width of the the triangle's base?

Now i dont need the answers to those questions, i need to learn how to figure out the answers so i can use that to help with knife designs from here on out. Neither of those examples are about a knife design, but if i knew how to do the math involved to answer those i could figure out how to determine the blade width and starting thickness id want to keep the primary angle and edge thickness where i want it to be for maximum penetration.

I'll tell you what helps me with geometry is drawing it.

Cbear all I can thonk of is that snl skit, daaaa bears.
That's actually what we sound like when we are calling for them... DAAAAAAAAA BBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRRSSSSS!! Usually with a beer in one hand and a hot dog drug through the garden in the other!

Grab you a protractor, a compass and some graph paper... It makes it all a LOT easier!

Hmmm... I dont have ANY of that stuff LMAO

Ill look into it though if that would really help....

Today was a killer day!
First off we haven't had much woods time since my little one got here 7 weeks ago. And my wife says hey lets go to Abrams Creek today for a bit to swim and eat! How cool is that I figured it would be a while before we hit the woods anytime soon with the whole famly! I said I had just the thing for little man's stroller. A mosquito net I got off VIK at last years spring gathering! Worked like a champ! Anyhow had a blast and even swam with my Eight year old a bit in the cold ass mountain stream. Abrams Creek is my favorite front country campground and was closed last year from budgett cuts with the NPS, so it was good to see it again as well.
Oh yeah in other news I got my BH # its 998!

My son playing in the river and my little one sleeping away and yes thats a average stroller modified for bushcraft use with a jungle mosquito net!

Quick day half day setup, complete with store bought firewood!
