Yep, your a lucky bum!!!

that was my view for about 10min. most other folks went ashore for a couple hours. I stayed and got TONS of work done with everyone else on the beach and out of my damn hair.

I could live on THAT boat.

looks like a pleasure ferry, if that makes any sense. Not so much a luxury yacht.

For instance lets say you have a triangle with a base of 5" and you go 30° from both sides of said triangle base, how far must you travel on both sides to reach a final point thats .25" ?

Another example, lets say you travel 3 inches at 20° from both sides of a triangle's base to a point of .050", what is the thickness or width of the the triangle's base?

I feel like you're approaching this from the spine instead of the edge...
The bevels start at the edge and move up toward the spine. when they run out of material, off they go into nowhere and you have the flats. The height of the blade is of secondary consequence.

I wont pretend to really understand what your saying, you need to dumb it down a little LOL, but the height or width of the blade, spine thickness, angle, and edge thickness is all important for what im wanting and trying to accomplish.

Im going down to the exact tip of the edge, not behind the edge, im not even thinking of bevels or anything right now.... for instance if the very edge is .030, at lets say 15° both sides, then behind the edge already has a set thickness... I just dont know it LMAO

A great day out man. Recharges your batteries doesn't it.
Like nothing else brother

Great pics Tackett, and that bowie looks mighty interesting :D
yes its interesting to say the least, first bowie, first hidden tang chops like a ginsu on crack. Its a proto and there will be more better stuff to come as time permits. Whole different ballgame with those big blades

Nuthin' better than game 7 OT; CBear, you must be working overtime explaining rules to your mom (that's why I don't watch hockey with the wife anymore lol)

And thats the game i like to play in :D So much more to it than meets the eye.

Yeah, I'd rather live on a pleasure ferry than a yacht. Yachts are nice but expensive. It's like people with a pick up vs a rolls royce. Yes the pick up people will ask for help moving and stuff, but with a rolls royce people want money. I'd rather have the pick up too... (With a rolls royce in the garage :D)

He is saying figure out what you want out of the cutting edge and work your way towards the spine from there. If you want a 15° finish edge on a blade that is 3" tall, and is .25" thick then you'd need a sabered edge 1.115" from the spine (totally just made those numbers up... I don't actually know the math.)

Alrighty I gotta try going to bed guys, I'll only be getting at most 6 hours tonight >...>

Those look YUMMY! I'll take them!

dayum. I made burgers with grilled onions, peppers and yellow squash - and you still made me drool a little.
Even that sounds good! I had *ack* McDonalds for lunch and I haven't felt good since!

First time it's happened since 1994... Is asking "why are they lined up at that dot NOW?!" "The team was offsides, the puck didn't cross the blue line before a player on the team did" "why now?!" "The puck went over the boards" "What are the boards?" "the glass at the top of the rink" "THAT'S GLASS?!" "Plexi glass"

WW, there are many free online triangle calculator programs and sites on the interwebz... Why are you beating your brains out?

You will need to know some trig to figure out what you are looking for, the calculators can do this for you.

Doc
