I don't remember the 192 having a lanyard hole . What make is the shotgun ? DM

Lanyard hole & and Lanyard ring are Russian customisation of this knife.

Lanyard hole & and Lanyard ring of this kind are old Russian traditions, as on a fighting cold steel.
The same materials are used, it is very similar.

Shotgun is IJ 27 , "Baikal" it is double-barrelled gun .
Caliber is 12x76 mm magnum.

i have a Baikal shotgun too. its a short barreled "coach gun", and that action was VERY stiff out of the box. my stepdad is a fan of western/cowboy type movies, so he sweet talked me into leaving it at the farm, and now it is his favorite truck gun.

I should tell all that:
1. I do not trade and I do not advance on the market any knives, the weapon, an ammunition, cartridges.
2. Links and photos given by me is only for the exact information and correct understanding in discussion.
3. Sale and purchase are not a sphere of my commercial interests.
4. I m not the dealer or the seller of knifes or other accompanying goods.
5. My messages are only for sphere of interesting dialogue.
6. I am glad to help with any questions only in a private order, not for commercial benefit, for myself.
7. I do not advance any steels and I do not work in sphere of steels.
I have only a private interest to good steels for knives.
8. I do not do PR the goods.

I worry that I can be misunderstood.

All shotgun Baikal are stiff from the box, it is such Russian feature.:D

Actually it is not pleasant to many hunters in Russia too.
I like to look some American films about villains and good cowboys.
For example with Klint Eastwood.

my favorites are Eastwood and John Wayne...do you wanna hear an interesting bit of info? i live in Winterset, Iowa. its the birthplace of John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood filmed "the Bridges of Madison County" here years ago. as it is a small town, that is our claim to fame. you can eat breakfast where the Clint ate his daily during the filming, tour the house used in the movie, and also tour through "The Duke's" (Wayne's nickname) house he was born in.

Yes approximately so.
I had experience with steels CPM S60V and CPM S90V, and I have
Two knifes from these steels.

But these two steels CPM S60V and CPM S90V have no high impact strength.

That I believe is Zebra Wood, the wood of Microberlinia, also known as Zebrano, It is imported from Central Africa, (Gabon, Cameroon, and Congo).

I have suggested this wood as a handle material for the Buck Custom Shop on other threads in this forum.

I have Vantage knife with wood handle, 13 C 26 Sandvik Paul Bos heat treated.
I use this knife as EDC knife.
In Russia wooden handle is prefferable owing to cold weather in a current of the most part of year.

I've been meaning to ask Igor if your completely done with hunting season?
Hello Mr. Gordon
In Russia there are two hunting seasons in a year.
Two weeks in the spring, usually in the end of April, only on a bird:
Geese, ducks, a black grouse, a wood-grouse.

Hunting is resolved only on males of these birds,
To kill a female on this hunting is forbidden , it is considered a bad form among correct hunters.

Other season is from the end of August till the end of December, sometimes it is to the middle of January.
Every year these terms are differ a little, and it is different in different regions of Russia.
Hunting is resolved for a wild boar, elk, bear, wood-grouse, fox ,hare, roe, roe deer , Siberian deer -Maral ,Some kinds of mountain rams.

Argali is forbidden, Argali is on the blade of Cabellas series of Buck knives.:)

Wolves can be shooted all year , with special licences free of charge, but it depends on region and rules in this region concerning Populations of the Wolf and rules regulations.

I hunt only by rules, I try not to break them.
I m not the poacher.
But sometimes they meet in our country.

do you use "catch dogs" for boar? i ask because im aware of the fact that Russian boar are much larger than what we have here, and our dogs get damaged and even killed during the hunt.

This is called being a true Sportman in America. I'm very glad to hear this about Russia.

All very interesting. Thanks g

thats one heck of a Swiss army knife your friend carries garryale. i carry one daily in my pocket, but its much simpler with far less "gadgets" on it. mine has 2 blades, a can opener, a bottle opener with a straight screwdriver, some tweezers(the handiest option of all), and a toothpick
