i shoot Sellier and Bellot ammo alot for practice. its good ammo and very affordable here in the states. do you use the Wolf brand ammo? i believe its made in Russia, but it seems to be a very "dirty" brand that leaves alot of grime in my guns when im done shooting. i spend most of my time shooting .22 long rifle for fun, but most of my handguns are 9mm luger, .38 special, and .45 acp. most my rifles are 223 (5.56 NATO), 30-06, and .308s(7.62 x 51 NATO)
I shot Silhouettes for years at Butterfield Trail range using a 30-06 made in 1943 a Rem. 1903A3 action and original 2 groove barrel . I reworked the bolt in order to mount the scope and drilled and tapped it for scope rings . I still have it, as well as my Buck 107 with antler handle . Darn, that was fun ! DM
Those are not stainless but should hold a great edge . I'd hate to grind that steel . DM
Yep Ya are right .(American variant of words)Garry, those $900 knives are way too expensive for me.
I could buy a lot of Buck knives for that kind of money.

Yes, Fiocchi is not bad . I have used it in my chot-gun.But I like that Sell&Bell ammo. I grab that brand whenever it's available for what I need.
I like the Italian stuff, too......Fiocchi, I think.
Excuse me please,
what does it means - BTW-?
That Benelli is one impressive shotgun.
I use Fiocchi and Sell&Bell in my 9mm......always perfect so far......good power, too.
As far as the more exotic steels go......I like BG42 and S30V just fine, but I find the old 440C on the older Buck knives (1980 and older) is just as good for all practical and reasonable purposes.
In fact, the new 420HC is going to be plenty good enough for the average user......not many do a lot of skinning anymore.

Those are not Buck knives Igor. They are Strider knives, semi-customs.
Years ago Strider Knives and Buck Knives made a business deal and Buck made some lower cost Strider designed knives.
Did you buy these?
It is photo of one my acquaintance hunter.
There are knives he often used on hunting:

But 192 Buck he praises most of all.
This knife is pleasant to him most then others.
