I may have a problem. :(

My wife only complains when she's waiting on me ready to leave, and she comes into our room and I'm standing there with a ZT in one hand, and a Spyderco in the other... trying to decide which one to carry... only to choose the ZT and add a Southern Grind... and a GEC... and a Victorinox... and an Esee (or maybe the Scrap Yard)
And then stare at a Hinderer wondering if I should start over.
It's a sickness really.

If this hasn't been mentioned already, you may have a problem.........keeping your pants up!;)

I've always tend towards absolute minimalism inspired by the phrase 'beware of the man with only one gun, he know's how to use it' concept. I'd prefer to master a tool rather than see it as just one of many. That said, each tool has its speciality which is why I carry a slipjoint on my belt, a SAK Rambler on my keychain and a MT in my bag. They all have very distinct (and very different) uses, the only one really used as a 'knife' is the slipjoint.

I still think you're nuts though if that helps? :p

One folder, one small fixed, one "railroad" pocket-watch, and one Glock.
You are younger than me...more energy. I don't see the need for that many knives, but then, some folks would say I don't need a gun either.
Tell your wife that you are just celebrating your "freedom of choice."

Believe me you're not the only one. It's better than bein addicted to alcohol or drugs and if I'm gonna be obsessed about something, knives fulfill that obsession on many levels.

Its usually how i answer the dreaded question "why do you have so many knives." Or replace knives with whatever the question is at the time. I dont take any drugs i barely drink and i dont spend money on lottery, these make me happy and i get more out of my 200$ knife than the 200$ night at the bar. So in my books you are quite sane my good sir!

I'd leave the traditionals at home or at work or in the car.
I understand to have a specific knife for a specific task.
Weight is one consideration for me and the decision which one to use the other,
so I try to solve that right in the morning.

PS: I can spot a rhetorical question. ;)

Ted,it's evident that your PT is helping ;), I see it as a way of balancing the load you carry. I mean, how can you carry three or four and be all caddywampus without adding a few more to balance everything out. And it's a after PT exercise that needs to be done almost daily.
I definitely am waiting patiently to see some pics of you riding again.

"Hell I even used to be the topic of water cooler conversations, coffee break discussions and even once was used as an example of a harmless knife knut and helped to change the office policy of a non knife friendly workplace."

This is the only reason you stuff your pockets like that, Ted. Another case of edc virtue-signalling.

At least you have good taste.. what pistol do you hang on yourself usually?

T, you have to be a belt AND suspenders man. Good for you brother. I think I only saw one Buck, so that's a little odd. You made it this far being yourself, so why stop now??

Ted, being a gentleman of discerning taste with a proper appreciation for all variations one of mankind's oldest, most useful and most practical tools is never a problem. If it brings joy to your life and isn't hurting anyone, then embrace that joy. After all, there are things a fellow could enjoy fondling that would upset his wife far more than a nice folder. ;)

I see traditional, lockback, fixed blade, tactical........................looks like you have most of your bases covered! Might need to add a victorinox classic on the keychain.
