I regret allowing someone to hold my knife when...........

Oh, thanks for the reminder. Going to a wedding tomorrow, gotta bring a cheap chinese SAK in case someone needs a "knife".

I have a couple nice kitchen knives my wife knows not to touch after seeing her cut stuff on the granite countertop

Story of my LIFE! A while back I started a similar thread. I have since stopped letting people handle a lot of my nicer knives. The "sh*t whip" people tend to do is direct pain to my soul. The other thing that drives me crazy is watching people try to figure out frame locks. For whatever reason, they tend to try and push the lockbar FURTHUR into the tang of the blade before they realize it needs to go the other direction to unlock. A lot of it is my own fault. I can't expect everyone to know the "dos and donts". I keep a Victorinox Cadet in my back pocket now for 2 reasons. 1: So the snowflakes don't freak out. 2: Because it's idiot proof and it was $30 :D

when they start asking:

how much did this cost?
why would you spend that much on a knife?
how many knives do you have?
how is this knife different from the one I bought at the gas station or on ebay for $8

add to that "why do you need a knife?"

That’s is poetry sir! Haha man I will absolutely be using that one.
Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it. I must disclaim though as it's not mine, someone else said it here first, but you and I can both use it! :D

“Don't touch my di*k, don't touch my knife.”

Seems appropriate for this thread . . . RIP, Tony.
Well said by a man who honed his blade before every service.

Rest in Peace indeed.

When they shove my carbon fiber Leek pivot screw deep into a lechon (whole roasted pig) and start carving because they’re too impatient to wait for the chef with the breaking and carving knives.

Wtf man, I thought you had a loose thread on your jacket or something....

That guy who "looked" at your knife is an Idiot, he acted like it was his knife screw that! A decent folding knife isn't a hammer or screwdriver. Where is this dude, let's get him!!
