Whaddaya mean "Unfortunately"

Haha I said that one. I mean, I'm a firm believer in the more posts you have, the more of an asset you are to this online forum. But believe me, I've had situations before where folks are quick to jump on my back for using low post count as a reason NOT TO do business. They say I'm unreasonable, rude, etc.

It wouldn't do anyone any good to try to con you anyway! :)

Can we get together on this?

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You keep changing my posts, and I'm gonna use those whips and chains on YOU!!! :p :D :p :D :p :D

Shameful! What were they thinking?

They were thinking? :p

I think nothing could be farther from the truth. To me, it's quality, not quantity. There are people with a ton of posts who've just trolled or said nothing of value. I know of one who seems to live for that. There's other who have never ventured out of the Exchange, but have racked up high post counts in there. Recently I saw a knife listed for trade that I was interested in.. I opened the thread, and the post seemed a little offputting. I started looking around a bit, and found that this person does nothing but post trade threads, and he deletes all his posts. By your standard, this person is an asset to BF. By my standard, they're not. I didn't even contact the person.

Wow. 12 pages over a return. On my watch forum. Usually buyers have a 3 day return unless stated all sales final. I sell straps and used to sell vintage watches. Somebody didn't like something or the strap wasn't quite what they wanted. Return less s/h. Not a problem. Customers money left in Paypal until I hear back and they're keeping or returning.

You take it back and relist it. Instead in escalated into a major Paypal claim

I just sold a knife. If the customer isn't happy with the purchase or nit picks over small detail . I'll take it back and refund less the s/h. Part of doing sales. Can't satisfy everyone

With all due respect, this isn't your watch forum and we don't do three day test drives around here. Also, please go back and read the whole thread. The OP stands to lose hundreds of dollars since the demand for this particular knife has cooled off on the secondary market since the time of the sale. That's almost certainly the reason the buyer in this case is trying to flake out and get her money back. Sorry, but that's not how this works. If someone stands to lose hundreds of dollars because the buyer wants to renege on a sale then A. the OP most certainly SHOULD have opened a Paypal case since this buyer is trying to defraud him and B. we don't want members like that in this community. As is, the seller can't even sell this knife as new at this point, because it's been bought and sold.

If you feel that part of doing sales is being flaked out of hundreds of dollars, then I'm not too sure that you'd do too well here.

It's Friday. I'll invite everyone to go have a taty cold adult beverage, soda pop, lemonade, coffee. We will reconvene Saturday.
/All rise....lol

Paypal has favored the buyers side. Refund has been sent. If this isn't against forum rule I will be posting the knife in the Cove as LNIB at a much lower price than originally and of course link this thread and warn potential buyers of this situation.

Go ahead and relist the knife, no problem. Make sure it is in the same condition as it went out initially.

That's a shame, but I think that was inevitable based on how Paypal operates.

I would like to suggest you add JennaLee to the name of your thread so it is clear who the offending member is.

I suspected they would, and luckily the buyer did refund your shipping. Good luck with the next sale.
