I sold a knife with pictures in the thread of lockup and buyer wants a refund.

This is simple. Jenna purchased the knife. The knife was as described. Period. No question about this. NONE. Even the manufacturer confirms that this is knife is not defective. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR HER TO RETURN THE KNIFE, other than she changed her mind. Changing one's mind is not a justification for a return. The knife is now Jenna's and there is no justification for her to return it. By returning the item to Greek God, she is costing him money and time. With all that in mind, there is NO REASON for Greek God to send his money to Jenna. IMO, Greek God should wait for PayPal to rule on this. If PayPal rule in his favor, Greek God should put Jenna's knife a small USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box with tracking and signature required (cost less than $10), and be done with this. If PayPal rules in the buyer's favor, at least Greek God has the knife.

It's also very stupid for her to open a false claim with paypal as she could potentially lose a lot more that way. And it's wrong.
 
I think one of the reasons for quite a few posts on this is the fact that we clearly have a buyer misrepresenting things, refusing to communicate with the other party, and now lying to paypal. Usually, it is the seller that we can say these things about.
To add to it, it is a high dollar knife.

Poor practices here are not limited to sellers - here is a unique example of a buyer - caught dead to rights - in a sleazy deal.
Even though I would likely have just made the refund myself and chalked it up to dealing with a turd buyer; I applaud the seller for not taking the easy route and standing up to jennalee and exposing her.
 
Many times we don't have the luxury of picking our battles rather circumstance chooses them for us. Had the OP chosen the easy road and refunded the buyer the community here would be unaware of said "tire kicker" and she would be positively encouraged to continue her rather sketchy practice.

Even though it has been said repeatedly, kudos to you OP for putting in the effort and taking a stand. You definitely will NOT make my ignore list.

It shouldnt. But it appears one person in this thread has all ready wanted to give a pass because he "likes having women around" on the forum.

Seriously, though, sounds like clear cut buyer's remorse.
