INFI Will win , if the angle were right .
but do not try it , it is not fair for asking a new one or repairing it after the shot.

right ?

It's intentionally destroying the knife. Warranty doesn't cover it. So go ahead. Some guy bought an iPad just to destroy it too, just have a high speed camera on it so you've not wasted the opportunity :)

Well, some SOG knife (I'm not sure, was it Super Bowie or something like that?) has been shot 7 times with a .45 ACP non-jaketed bullets with no damage to the blade. That's what SOG have in their logo today.
Now average muzzle energy of .45 ACP is 456 J [416 fp], whereas .50 BMG has avg. muzzle energy 15.037 J [11.091 fp] (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muzzle_energy).

So the question is, is INFI about 30 times stronger than AUS8 that SOG use? And we are still talking non-jacketed bullet!

Wasn't that Daniel Tosh?? One of the funniest clips ever - and the next week with people emailing him about it. ROTFL!

He can send to it me and I will give it a good home, so please don't shoot the knife.

i can not agree with you man.
angle is important factor here , if the bullet was not right ahead crash into the blade , the blade will broken .:D

Do you guys really have nothing better to do then shoot a knife? I know I'm new here but aren't you supposed to use a knife to cut things?

Rather than destroying the knife, how about selling/auctioning it and giving the proceeds to your favorite charity?

Its your knife man. Do what ever you'd like. I would like to see it though, so I vote yes.

I think u should tape about 5 zillas or FFbms together, ithink 50s are good for 1 inch plate steel, not sure how much more though, might not go thru if it's freestanding and not clamped down, or u could put it on train tracks and see if the infi rolls like it's supposed to, what da ya think?

Yes, I should have noted that I presume the same laboratory conditions as for the SOG, i.e. knife & gun held tight in a vise, perfectly aligned in 0 deg. angle, shooting the bullet against the edge. Even then I doubt the Mistress would stand such a hit without any damage.
But then, it's each one's business how he treats his knife ;)

It's a bad idea IMO. A slow motion camera may make it enjoyable but certainly watchable. It's your knife but I don't see why BC should replace it.

should i see what happens when i do this? um, imo no.

do you think any value of the knife would be lost if i do this? Lol!!! yes.

i know you guys would like to see this, as it is not your knife, but what do you think? kind of, but it feels a bit like watching "jackass". or has someone done this already with any kind of rifle to a busse? yes, sort of.

jerry, does your warranty cover this? Lol!!! i doubt it.

imho;)

Yes a .50 BMG round will kill any Busse with no problem.

there is a katana VS. .50 machine gun vids on youtube. the thing ate 7 balls before the brokage occurred.

a shorter and broader blade can take more , i guess.:D

i wanta see it , but the man you "commited" that do not ask for replacement .:D:D:D

Do it just aim a little high while still hitting the meat of the blade and then if it does brake you can grind it down to like an ash1 or something like that but if u have the money for a 50 than even if it is a total loss u can just buy a new one
Just use a high speed camera and u started this now u have to do it and do.nt worry about the nay sayers some people will complane about anything just like the commies complaining about all the freedom we still have lol

I can't wait to see this do it and have fun doing so and prove all the naysayer wrong and use a few more knives to prove busse is the toughest

If you shoot a BWM with .50BMG, you'll likely get a new talon hole, and maybe a Busse "folder" out of the deal. .50BMG is an anti-materiel round. I'm pretty sure a knife qualifies as "materiel". :D

If it can be used against light armor and airplanes, a knife, no matter how tough, doesn't stand much of a chance. If any Busse could survive, I'd place odds on a CGASH-1. Or maybe a fatty warden. Good luck finding the warden after shooting it though!

Your knife, your business.

Just don't claim it's a hard use "test" and all is good.
