I think I got scammed by Nevermind35

I would not take his word for it since he told me the same thing over 10 days ago. Below is a screenshot of my PM with him.

The best thing the OP did here was pay PP goods and services...
Smart move, and well worth the 3% as you may very well need to use PP to get your money back (and you will)

Here's another guy that's been given a second chance by the community, and it didn't take too long for him to now explain his way out of another mess.....

If I remember correctly, his wife was using his account to sell his knives, and messing everything up, was that the story the first time?

If I had an issue, my wife would be the last person I would ask to handle something she understands very little about...
If I was really sick, had personal issues, (insert the excuses/reasons here) the last thing I would try to do would be to make deals with people or sell a ton of knives (as this guy and his wife have been doing over the past months)

If I am not well (I am not talking about a cold) chances are that I am going to make mistakes and cause issues for people who deserve better.

Too many stories of:

"I messed up because I am on X meds because I screwed up my back"

We've all been there, we've all gone through some horrid times....those are not the times to try to sell a ton of knives and try to get things right for everyone.

Anyway, two times in the GBU in short order should mean something to this community and moderation....

Yeah I remember that episode the (wife taking over his sales) it was about two months ago. IMO this Nevermind is a dishonest fellow. In the above PM Nevermind clearly "sold and shipped" the knife to the OP.
I've learned two things from this one: use PayPal goods and never do business with Nevermind.

The issue a few months back was due to a severe vehicle accident. Once he was out of the hospital he did his best to correct all issues as quickly as possible, and I believe everyone was happy in the end.

Not that it has any bearing on what's happening now, though.

What makes this situation troubling is that nevermind35 sold the same knife to (2) different people and accepted both their payments.

Whether he did this intentionally or not should have been answered by the seller himself already.

I think it's important to note that when I contacted the seller on 10/31/15 asking if the knife was still available. He responded immediately with the following in an email:

Hey there bud, I did actually have a problem with the last buyer of the Anubis. He had a problem with his paypal so I told him that I would wait for a money order, however that did not work out for whatever reason either. Now I'm in a position where I need the money pretty much asap. If you could send the funds to my paypal account now, I could save it for you before I go onto the next person in line. My paypal address is sebenza3@gmail.com. Id appreciate it very much my friend, let me know if you have any questions at all too. Thanks bud.

I'm not trying to cause any friction here and I do hope this is a huge error/oversight on the seller's part.

I did receive an email from nevermind35 yesterday and I was very happy he contacted me. He promised me a tracking number last night and never sent it. I contacted him several times and no response.

Today I feel like I'm back at square-one, trying to figure out why a Gold Member of a respectable forum would risk his name over a $375 sale.

I do appreciate the Blade Forum Staff and fellow members offering their assistance to fix this problem before it gets to large to handle.

Yes... It's obviously important to use the goods/services option when buying though Paypal, but that doesn't excuse a seller from misleading forum members.

Both litetech and I deserve some answers and a speedy-resolution to this mess.

I think everyone can agree to that.

Respectfully... Seth

I would give him another week or so the make it right; then I would file a PP claim. There is no excuse he can give at this point that would prevent him from shipping the knife or refunding the money in 3 weeks.

I hope someone can reach out to nevermind35 and convey Gastonknife's message to him.

If any of you have had good or bad dealings with Nevermind35 in the past, please reach out and help him resolve this matter quickly so he can begin to build his reputation back up again.

I want to believe he is a good man in a tough position. Sometimes we just need some help digging ourselves out of the hole.

I had a smooth transaction with him on October 13th. I bought a Buck Mayo from him, and while he did ask for payment via the PayPal gift option, I just paid via goods and services with the $4.79 of fees added to the price. He thanked me for covering the fees and shipped the next day. Three days later the knife was at my door, in precisely the condition that was advertised.

He also emailed me yesterday stating that he had a Chris Reeve Shadow for sale and asking if I was interested. I wrote back no, but thanks for the offer, and informed him of this thread (which had just been posted 45 minutes before my email to him). No response from him as of now.

WOW! He's still trying to sell knives to past clients, while ignoring those who haven't received any knife from him. There is something wrong here!

Whats wrong here may be the echo chamber of people agreeing in this thread. But has anyone gotten in touch with him to ask about this particular problem?

There are at least three people in this thread, including RevDevil, who have contacted him. I'd think that would be sufficient.

The last I heard from nevermind35 he assured me the knife was mailed on 11/8/15 and that he would get me a tracking number by the end of the day.

That was yesterday. I sent him several forum-emails later that night and today. There was not one response.

What I found interesting is that he posted knives for sale to a "different" forum on 11/9/15.

I alerted the moderator of that forum. I just hope I was in time to save more members from being taken advantage of.

I'm the last one who wants to turn this into a confusing mess. I just don't feel it serves anyone to stay silent while the plot thickens.

Unfortunately... The one person who can fix all this is the very same one who is avoiding everyone.

I'm going to follow up with him and make sure he gets the message. If a private message doesn't do it then something else might.

Thank you RevDevil.

I really do appreciate you looking into this.

I'll be happy to provide you with all the correspondence between me and nevermind35.

Best... Seth

I bought a Pro Series JYD from him a few weeks ago. I did receive the knife in a timely fashion but there was a lack of communication that had me a little worried.

Edit: I also received an email from him yesterday about a CRK Shadow he was selling.

Friend Bud Pal.
Friend Bud Pal.
Buddy.

Danger.

Great post:)

I did do a $700 deal once on Ebay, where something supposedly went wrong with the post office (the guy later said he sent the package to the wrong client(!!!): The guy had this exact style of address, claimed at one time only his wife could communicate with me (a big red flag), "was away on a trip", and responded very slowly, sometimes no answers, for a week at a time. Another red flag was that the knife photos were website photos not his. But he did have a 100% Ebay rating, which is why I waited patiently for one month to finally get a tracking number... I got it and everything was fine, but the promised serial number was nowhere to be seen on the knife...

He claimed some relationship to the knifemaker: I suspect maybe what happened was that the knife was being made while I waited...
