I want my.........FRONTIER MISTRESS....did you hear me......FRONTIER MISTRESS

I think a frontier Mistress would be optimal for peanut butter and nanner sammich craft...

Do you HOGS like smooth or crunchy GIF? errrrr.....JIF, I meant JIF!!! :o

Shane, you are the only one taking anything seriously. Everyone else is just having fun. No one called you a liar, certainly not me. You are very old school and that is kinda cool. But what you see on this thread is something that we have been doing for well over 10 years on this forum. Nothing new. I have no ill will towards you at all. You are quite likely a very standup guy. But I believe most on this forum are as well. That is why I stay. IF you really dislike the pics in this thread, just stay out of it for now. Just say to yourself, "stupid childish guys!" which we are. But it is all in fun.

I guess this forum is one of those, and means that I cannot share this with my boy. Again, this ain't my world, Mr.BUSSE decides what is ok. And obviously this is ok by him.

Actually, you decide what is OK with your family. Pushing it on others over and over and over is pointless.

Your right to express your feeling's is what makes this country and forum a great Place! It is like politics, and religion, folks have different thoughts and beliefs-NO ONE PERSON is right! I do not believe anybody here wishes to spit on you, only to express a different of opinion-we agree to disagree. If you feel this forum is inappropriate for children, It is your right and responsibility to restrict his viewing of these Topics! Your Opinion is welcomed and may not always be popular, but never think a difference in Opinion is a "Bad thing" . I find no harm in the pictures-A Beautiful Woman is well a "Beautiful Woman". I hope I never get too old to appreciate that-Cheers!!!

To the point, when I saw the sketched design, it reminded me that I was told at BLADE 2005 by a Busse staff person that all designs are in-house. I expect there are a lot of reasons, none of which are personal. They know what they can and cannot do based on steel, tooling, etc.

Flash ahead to more recently, when I was told that Busse does not accept designs from outside the company. That is all I will about the matter, and the conversation that took place.

If you want to call me a liar, then say on. Please remember, my on-screen name is my actual name. I am here for anybody to spit on. Have at it.

As far as the comments about going to the mall? If you take your children to a public place where that type of dress is ok, then that is your call. We live in a small town the nearest mall is a 250 mile round trip. Go figger. We rarely have any need to go there.

Mr. BUSSE'S FORUM. Obviously, the idea I have about this matter is neither accepted nor appreciated. I realize my "old ways" mean exactly zero. The idea that kids should be allowed their time of innocence, without intrusion by people who believe their right to do whatever they want, whenever they want regardless of who if affects. I guess this forum is one of those, and means that I cannot share this with my boy. Again, this ain't my world, Mr.BUSSE decides what is ok. And obviously this is ok by him.

Ah, the guilt card. What about adults? Do we not have a say on our forum concerning the content or do we no longer matter? Hmmm... While I don't condone such images, I do not condemn them either when used sparingly... But since you seem to not wish to screen threads for content as a parent, then perhaps he should wait until he is 13 and can have his own account here... Perhaps he is too young.

Again, this is an adult website, with adult discussions, including content.

Perhaps you may wish to speak to Mr. Busse, as I take my direction from both him and this site"s owner, and also the site Supermods.

Mr Busse has stated many times, like you said that he doesn't entertain out of house designs very true, but every now and then he has made some exceptions. As was pointed out earlier he did end up giving us the BB13 and it was almost a spitting image of one of the mock-ups someone had posted. When he initially posted the infamous spatula I thought that he was mocking all the drawings made. After his little joke though, he did come around and give everyone what they had been waiting for. So after all, although he might not enjoy forum drawings he could make an exception. That is why no one is really wrong on either side of the matter and I would love to see one of these knives made myself.

I think it's march 1998. I have mags all the way back to 1995. That is when I really started getting into knife collecting

I won't lie Cobalt, I have a lot of your threads saved. The history of the SHBM, and all it's rare variations is something I really dig about Busse.
One day, I will own one. It may not be one of smooth bolts that ran up to 65 rh... But I will have one.

If I see an shbm, I will snap it up for you if it is a good deal. I sold about 15 SHBM's in 2008. Had to partially fund $40k in car upgrades. Sometimes I wish I had not done that. I only have a few left. Well a few more than a few.

With respect to the question of drawings/renderings/photochops:

IIRC, Jerry did post here a few years ago that people should not post such things. It seemed to me a sort of standard lawyerly position, taken by many companies who will not accept outside, unsolicted ideas. The point is to protect the corporation from any potential intellectual property claims.

As noted above, the Basic 13 thread had many such drawings and ideas, which were never shut down by any moderator. So it would not be unreasonable for one to conclude that it is now OK to post such content.

I would say the BB13 had so many drawings and ideas there could be no one picture that was used. Ideas possibly from each may have contributed to the final design but the content was also spoken verbally (typed). I think it is more along the lines if someone posts a drawing and says....can you make me this....that creates possible intellectual claims.

found this in one of my old mags

That's interesting, the type in the magazine pic says Fusion Steel Heart, but it looks like more of an Ergo to me. Of course I am still just a piglet (I think, maybe not even that far yet). I, like rcb2000, enjoy the history, however, I probably know far less. That being said, is this a Fusion design that preceded the current version, or did the mag editors get it wrong. Just curious, I actually don't know.
