The design helps hide it, I'm sure, but it's also because it's small and the lines of each letter are thin. If it was small like this on the regular 21, I think it'd be much less objectionable.
Any chance for more pics of your Starbenza?
 ..............Just remember, everyone, this is one of the many reasons Duct Tape was invented.
Just a couple small strips of tape.... Problem Solved!
I beg to differ my friend........Let me make one thing clear... To say that you will not buy a new knife from Chris Reeve with the IDAHO MADE engraving because you simply don't like the way it looks, is NOT considered "boycotting"!
If I want to buy another Sebenza, I'm going to buy one without the engraving off the second hand market. Or I'm going to wait until they stop engraving their knives. It's pretty straight forward. People buy stuff that they like, and they don't buy stuff that they don't like. Most of us don't like the engraving. Therefore we aren't going to buy it.
Enough with this "boycotting" nonsense.
This I agree with.
Did people swear off CRK when the Regular pattern was nixed? Something tells me they didn't.![]()
I think it SUCKS. I am not from Idaho. Hell I didnt like the classic on them. I wont be buying Idaho ones. If it gets to were I have to Ill take a dremal to it
I didBut, the 21 is growing on me. I plan on getting a few. I just don't care for the placement of Idaho made.
That's not really the same though. ESEE is a logo and chances are you (specifically) probably don't like ESEE knives anyway judging by that one singular post.Fair enough...same way I won't be buying a knife with a big ESEE on the blade and handle.

There's no doubt in anyone's mind CRK's are made in the USA though. The XX makes it a bit special too. The "Idaho Made" placement, size, font, looks terribly out of place.I for one really like it. People should be happy they are made here in the USA and not some foreign junk made overseas !!! I have always wanted, but not acquired yet a Large Classic with the XX on the backside - ONLY because it has that engraving. I know I will get one someday, so for some people, me included, like the little extra that Chris put into the knives.
Collaborations are some of the best things to happen to the knife community though... ESEE and RYP, Kai and Hinderer, Spyderco/everyone they've done business with.I think the "Idaho Made" looks terrible and I will not buy a knife with that engraving. I live in Texas and would rather not see Idaho Made every time I use my $400 knife. Made in the USA discretely engraved somewhere on the knife in nice lettering would be patriotic, but I could give a rats ass if the knife is made in Idaho. Maybe they could do a sprint run of these "specially" engraved knives for the folks in Idaho and leave the rest of our knives alone. I think CRK is making a mistake messing around with their product line and doing all of these colaborations. It just makes the overall CRK product line less desireable to me. To me these things cheapen up their image. I can't even say "Starbenza" with a straight face.:barf:

Teacher your post is too long to quoteCall it what you want, but the Idaho Made is an aesthetic deterrent and nothing more. I'm not boycotting his products but I'll look for non-engraved knives first on the exchange first, although what I want is too specific I'm sure to find.
